Keeping the fogs with a wellycooler

Hi guys,
before everyone jumps down my throat I have had a good search through the stickies and have found plenty of info on fitting the above item but can't find a parts list needed to 'keep' the fog lights. A link would be much appreciated.... Que jardo lol

There are 2 ways to do it:

1, have custom pipes welded to the in/out of the core instead of using silicone pipes.

2, fit the food upside down, and again have custom pipes welded on. Only seen this done once and it was by Bill at Badger 5.

I don't realise anyone managed this. I used 90 degree silicone out of mine and there was no way I could have kept them.

Theres also two types of keeping the fogs I've seen. 1 is without the grills which makes the fogs look a bit weird and personally I'd rather remove them. Or 2 you manage to trim the grill and get them back in which keeps the car looking OEM.

will soon be fitting mine, i think i could just about squeeze my fogs back in if i trim the 90 degree bends down alot but i think i will just get rid i never use them anyway. also plasti dipped the alloy pipes to make it look more stealth

The only way to avoid any pertruding pipes is to fit the cooler upside down.

Gops, that looks really subtle. I have the same colour car and those pics have persuaded me to trim the grills. Good work

Thanks guys! I had the grilles off for ages, I did like it but I wanted the grilles on! Looks more subtle but I'd still like it all hidden.. Might get the fibre glass out and start modding lol!

Nope,, welded 90s and it can be done extremely neat....

I fitted a fmic to my first s3 in 2006. I was able to keep all grills and fogs and the inlets were at the bottom. I used 45 degree bends not 90s. But instead of using silicone bends straight from the intercooler i used a silicone joiner and metal 45 degree bend. They are much smaller outside diameter and with a bit of work to the back of the grill they all went back on fine. Hopefully this may help someone and give it a few weeks i may do it on my current s3.

Was it 63mm pipework Daz....Thats what everyone is using now.... Yours will probably been smaller 51mm possibly...

Hi mate, I kept with standard size pipes. Which i believe are 63mm?it wasnt easy but i made it work. It took a few dry runs but i got it right. The overall dimensions between silicone and alloy is quite a bit though if you think about it. Daz

Has anyone done this on the A3? I got fogs on my A3, and want to keep them. FMIC is the next mod i want to do.
