Wigan dill's A4 B7 Avant

hi,
been on here for a while, mainly for info when i was k04 ing my golf, now got a new car after the golf's turbo decided it dint like playing ball so picked this up last friday

Then this happend saturday (day after i got it lol)

Excuse the marks on the back bumper, was like this when i bought it, car is going in in two week for front and back bumper respray,

Removed these saturday to

Next mods are some low's ( need advice on this as i dont want it to low, and i also dont want rubbing and want to keep the same amount of comfort) also plan on blacking the grill, fog grills, roof rails and chrome window trim

Loving her mate, shes a stunner. Think the wheels strangely suit the car quite nicely. Lows and some blacking will look pretty sweet.I have that exact interior. I think the grey/black looks cool.

The interior was one of the reasons (with the other spec) that i went for this car lol
Defo needs lows and black bits now lol not sure weather to go for coils or just a drop on spings tho

Im going for a set of 19" Merc rims on my car soon, Just trying to work out which ones......
What needed to be done to fit the Porker rims?

Mines lowered on Eibach 50/40's (So on the S-Line it works out to 30mm drop at the front and 20mm drop at the rear) and its superb, Stance is good and drives lovely.......

There for the sat nav mate, im thinking there are two diffrent nav's you can get, the type i have which is built into the cluster and the normal one which goes were the radio ect is,

i dont think the ride is crashy tbh pal, i think its very smooth and comfy lol, what did the springs cost and were from if you dont mind me asking, starting to think i should have got a black edition so save al the hassle getting them all black lol o well all part of the fun of modding i suppose

I love mine, I know it's newer but it's light years ahead of the mk4 for build quality.

I put H&R 45mm springs on mine, with B5 front spring seats. Dropped nicely and rides better than standard S-line stuff so no complaints here

Its only a 30mm/20mm drop if you have OEM S-Line Suspension as thats all ready 20mm lower........

The back might rub judging by how far the rears stick out!!!!, i assume thats throm the adapter plates for the Porsche rims?

Yea i alreadi have s line suspension, the back needs very little to be honest as im sure it will rub unless i go to 15mm adaptors on rear but i dont think it will have enough poke then, 50 front would b ok as it would only be 30, back wants about 10mm drop, might have be coils but idealy wanted just springs

Just fitted FK coils on mine - only have the fronts in so far but the ride is very similar to the s-line set up IMHO and mine is pretty low up front. (Can only just turn full lock with standard 235 40's) I was expecting it to be super harsh as they are only cheap coilovers but I was pleasantly surprised. food for thought !

Quick update, i was thinking of plasti dipp8ng the front grill and fog grills but now i have decided to paint them satin black, started on the fog grills already, rest should b done and back on tomorro

Well today i removed front bumper and sprayed the grill and fog hgrills black, impressed with the outcome, will post up pics tomorro

Well the front of my car now looks like this

I did the front grill and fog grills in satin black well impressed with the outcome now i jus need to get the window trims wrapped probably in matte black now lol and either buy some black rsils or paint mine satin black to match the grill

Well the paint has chipped a little on the chrome surround on the grill so i have just bitten the bullet and orderd one from audi, should be here in the morn, orderd a gloss black grill and a gloss black audi badge of ebay to match, plan on getting them fitted on saturday ready for NWVW at tatton park sunday, i also am going to repaint the fog grills in gloss black to match the grill.
Then i can finally start getting everything else done lol

Well been slow updateing this build, been really busy with work ect.
Last update i had painted my own grill but after 3 days i could see the paint chipping and showing the chrome underneith which i wasnt happy with so i ordered a genuine black grill from audi and plate holder (wasnt cheap lmfao), pic's below,
Whilst doing the grill i managed to source some black roof rails from a member on here and have also fitted them along with some black s-line badges on the doors and front grill and a black audi badge on the front aswell. Next mod is to get the chrome window trim wrapped and to get the car lowerd and sitting how i would like, will be needing info on that soon. also possibly a lcr front spliter

Also waiting for the log book to come back still then i can get my personal plate on, Had the car re-mapped aswell not sure exacpt bhp but i estimate around 170 bhp and a shed load more torque

it wasnt too bad of a job to be honest pal, just time consuming and fiddley.
Main reason i took my time was that i kept washing my hands so as to not get grease monkey prints on my roof lol.
I wouldnt be in a rush to do it again tho lol

Quick pic as i havent updated in a little while. Basicly i have been skint and the build has ground to a hault, a egr cooler breaking didnt help, so sometime in the near future i will be doing a complete egr delete and cooler delete and another re-map. All being well i should be lowering the car in the next few week and having the wheels refurbed (not sure on what colour yet black or dark grey with red barrels) All suggestions on wheels are appreciated

finaly got my private reg come through today so the car is now officaly mine in my eyes lol, So got my pressed plates put on whilst having my dinner at work, got the plates weeks ago at a show lol been itching to get them on lol

ot updated this in a while been very lazy but few updates,
firstly had my wheels refurbished in gloss black with the barrela done like a rain effect as i was borred lol, second i wraped the chrome window ttim in glos black and had my fog grills done gloss black also, and lastely i had a rns-e fitted with factory bluetooth and then fitted a aftermarket tv tuner and a multimedia adaptor for good measure, the freeveiw box ia prerty decent it has twin antenna so signal is decent in most areas, it has the occasional jump in built up arears but other than that its fine, it also works upto 140 mph apperently lol

Few updates, i have tinted the front and rear lights for the time being till i can get some led rears which will also get the tint treatment and some front drl's which probs will get tinted two lol, my chrome roof rails are at the poweder coaters getting done gloss black two match everything else so the genuine black ones will probs be for sale soon. also ordered a leon cupra r front spliter which will also get a lick of black and the car is bookin in at my bodyshop next week for the arche's pulling, back tailgate dint and scratches sorted and front and back bumper respray,
If only this bluetooth will stop ******* me off

Yea pal I got a multimedia adaptor of eBay which I'll be selling soon as I've just purchased one with twin video input, I then bought a digital tv tuner of eBay but a half decent one with twin Ariels. I then hid all that under the dash and put the remote control eye in the corner of the dash and the ariels in the windows and jobs a good un, I can lend a hand if you like as your local
