I have a 2008 Audi A3 S-Line TDI.
I have 19 inch rims for it and should lower it with H&R lowering springs.

What I'm really unsure about is whether I should go for 35mm or 50mm lowering springs.

So I wonder if anyone here has pictures of an S-line by 19-inch wheels and H & R lowering springs?

It would be great! :)

i have some 35mm ones coming off my s3 next week done around 2000miles on them still have box and receipt if your interested some pics of mine on them if you check my pics

go for the 50mm
that should lower you a nice 35mm on the s-line

Is the S3 originally lowered as much as the A3 S-line or more? I think the 35mm springs looks great on your S3. And here in Norway is many speed bumps so I think I would go for the 35mm.

It would be great if someone have some pics with the 50mm too tho :)

I've got the 50mm and can get over speed bumps fine, even with a full car.

However on 19s.

Looks nice too. Did the rims/tires rub in the fender? And what if you have full loaded car?
Im very unsure here :/
Come with pics if anyone have some more :)

No rubbing what's so ever, even with a fully loaded car going over bumps.

However I'm on 18s maybe different for 19s.

Remember the S-Line is already lower from the factory so you'll need to take off around 15mm from any quoted drop.

Damian can you just clarify as I'm reading conflicting information. I through by S Lines were dropped 25mm and Sports 15mm?
Cheers.

I put 50mm H&R on mine last week, I ****** love the look and feel of it.

Ill put some pics up tomorrow.....

50mm h&R sits ok no rubbing with full car but under tray scrapes speed humps

Iv got 19' wheels on mine too. Wondering what's better to lower it. Coilovers or just 50mm springs on my standard shocks ?
Thanks

Id go for coilovers tbh but not JOM something like AP or even FK something tahts will last and not corrode

Okay thank you. New to the forum so it was probably a stupid question. Is yours on coilovers ?

i have 18 RS6 alloys on my A3 and really want to get the springs to lower the wheel arch and stop the ****** rubbin' - whats the ride like on the H&R's? is it bumpy or quite comfy?

Tom

Sport springs were crap, the s line springs were even worse so i got h&r springs there much better and improved handeling aswel

How do you find the general ride of the car?

If I was to drop my SE 50mm on H&R springs would I definitely need to change shocks?

I need an answer to this too. I have the SE and I am in need of lowering springs but wondering whether a 50mm drop with the H&R, would the stock SE shocks be able to cope? I have the 18 inch S line alloys

I've got the same question, i have a3 2.0tdi 2004 SE.
What coil-overs can i go with to reduce the gap between Tyre and arch but also be able to scale speed bumps without any issues?

If anyone has a set of SE springs and shocks to sell, please drop me a PM, I have Sport and the ride is terrible.

Yes JohnE I will be looking to replace my SE springs and shocks within the next couple of weeks. Please PM me
