A3 xenon question

Hi all. Apologies for asking as I am sure its been asked.
I want to make my A3 headlights into xenon. Can I get an S3 xenon ballast and add to mine? Or do I need the complete headlight?
Or fit the full S3 headlight but with wing size different from an A3 will this matter?

Internally the A3 and S3 headlights are different to accommodate the DS2 xenon bulbs... S3 head lights will fit an A3 but tbh you may as well just buy a H7 xenon kit and be done with it... most second hand S3 headlights tend to be either expensive or knackered...

Of course legally you also need the self levelling system and headlamp washers too

If the car wasnt fitted with these they dont need them, if they are fitted they need to work.

S3 headlights will fit fine, I have them in my A3.

Don't bother with s3 headlights! They're crap! Use some hid kits and it'll be brighter than s3 headlights

get aftermarket HID kits, very easy but you will have to put them back to standard for your mot

My s3 lights are good, 55w bulbs might improve it a little

I have heard if you put aftermarket HID kits in the a3 it will blow the motor wiper is this true or a very rare problem ??
