hi just some info wonted ive got a Audi s3 its the 210bhp its chipped and have a printout for 280bhp and 154bhp at the wheels
would the 225 injectors and 4 bar pressure regulator do anything at all ?

it has a lot of turbo lag you can feel the power at about 3000 rpm until then its like waiting for a bus lol.
is there anything I can do to help this and is it worth doing the vacuum pipe deletion on the top of the engine ?

Who tuned it???

Dont ever fit a 4bar reg, it wont do anything but kill your fuel pump and ruin the fueling on the current map.
Stock injectors max between 280-300, thats if your car really is making that, hence asking who tuned it.
an upgrade would be 550s at 3 bar. But youd need a new map, and depending on hardware might not be worth it.

Youre best giving a complete list of the spec of the car

a company called star performance did it never heard of them ?

BAM 225 injectors are exactly the same as AMK 210, APY 210 injectors are physically different but flow the same... as said... no need for a 4bar FPR, if your car is genuinely making 154hp at the wheels then I am struggling to believe its 280hp... 126hp losses?... really?

Something is not quite right there but at a genuine 280hp the injectors are getting close to maxxed... (this is slightly subjective but is a rule of thumb and based on experience)

To achieve a genuine 280hp from a K04 you would need most if not all the typical stage 2 hardware upgrades (including an 80mm TIP) and then this is subject to engine condition etc...

As Karl has already mentioned if the injectors are maxing out (more than 20ms duration) and AFR is going lean top end (assuming the map is tuned properly to give 12.5 afr on boost) then it maybe time for 550cc injectors but this is not a replacement for a bad pump of fuel pressure is dropping off and of course will need to be mapped in (injectors need to be scaled)

As said, best give us more details of your car including engine code/year as this makes a difference... APY 210 or AMK 210

its a w reg APY- 210 Photo

Dyno lottery applies but it will be relative at the end of the day... if you ran your car there again then it would no doubt produce similar figures... I have print outs on different dynos where there has been 40hp difference...

Anyhoo... in answer to your question... fitting 225 injectors and a 4bar fpr will do nothing other than leave you 150 quid out of pocket (assuming 100 quid for secondhand injectors and 50 quid for a new FPR) and the ECU will try and take fuel out on cruise and flood on WOT as the APY is narrow band and has no lambda control beyond idle and cruise...

APY's run rich as it is as std... afr in the 10's under boost...

what are my options as in performance upgrades?

do any of these coil upgrades to the 2.0 or waste gate an other parts actualy do anything?

Without knowing what you already have its difficult to say but typically 3" downpipe, Badger 5 80mm TIP, FMIC, uprated actuator and a proper custom map is pretty much where these cars are at nowadays...

Search for Gops build thread as he recently had a Badger 5 custom map and his car goes rather well...

Depends what you are expecting but 280-290hp is pretty much the max most K04's will go and thats only with all the above fitted and a proper custom map and of course subject to condition of your engine and turbo (these are old cars remember)

Also don't get hung up on peak power figures... Gops car made 281hp but held torque for ages and as such drives much better than a generic stage 2 map...

Tuffty do you need an uprated actuator for stage 2?

ok will do as far as I know its standard apart from the map

how can I tell if injectors or anything has been changed and what would of had to be done to get the 280

Uprated actuators can work when mapped correctly... Gops car is testament to this... however not all 'uprated' actuators are the same... Forge ones are sadly not the best as they have very short travel but I know they have a revised version that should address this...

Gops got his from beach buggy who deals in turbos and stuff... worthwhile as long as you get a custom map to suit to eliminate the inevitable boost spike and tailor the power to the mods/condition of the engine

They won't have been changed... the OE injectors are a blue colour...

The 280hp printout is subject to dyno lottery... on a similar dyno I made 40hp more than I know my car has made on Bill's dyno... same for his lupo... this made around 40hp more...

Some dyno's read more some read less... all thats relevant is a comparison to others on the same dyno... or if before and after mapping runs were done...

Most stage 1 maps on std S3's don't make more than 240hp...

So what's the crack with it then at the end of the day ? Is it basically just showing what it wonts to ?

its not accurate, THE END.
the fact it says 154 at the wheels, and 280 at fly, come on, it must have guessed that flywheel figure.

at the end of the day, are you happy with the car or not??
if you are, does it matter, no. If not, start the modding game and take the car to someone reputable.

I would get fmi and 3" down pipe first and any other mods that would be needed
