Best modifications for audi a3 8L AGU engine? (1998)

Hi guys and gals! I was wondering what would be the best power upgrades for my 1.8 20v turbo agu(150bhp) It has a pipercross induction,i'm not looking for a massive increase just something to give it a little bit more poke?

As far as i'm aware my diverter valve is ********,brand new Audi item has been ordered,going to check the actuator is holding pressure also!

Exhaust recommendations? replace the open cone filter? Looking for a suspenion upgrade also(don't want to go crazy low) 30/40mm drop will do me fine!

Who is best to buy from online?

Start with fixing any problems the Car has, give it a full service and check everythings perfect before you go about changing anything.

My first mods were as follows:

Honda S2000 filter
2.5'' Full exhaust system with de-cat (there's also the option of cat-back)

To be be fair to the chap, your thread isn't in the stickies (it should be) and the search bar on ASN is horrendous - I always Google - 8L A3 "whatever the problem is" now and ASN comes up, but not if you search in the bar.

Its not in the stickies on its own but it IS in the FAQ sticky... if I put every single useful thread in the stickies the main forum posts wouldn't appear until page 3

cracked passenger headlight,and bottoms of doors are just bubbling not even rotten :/

No scrapyard for this car,i'm on the hunt for a replacement engine,usually i would just not pump money into a car that cost me very little but.......... i've become attached to this car,don't think i could ever sell it,only just hit 171k when it went bang(spat a rod) standard engine apart from a pipercross cone filter/alloys painted black,just put a years test on it last week(13months mot) 3weeks tax left,not got the heart to get rid of it

Any ideas on a replacement engine and 2nd hand exhaust source? Also a passenger headlight as it is slightly cracked after hitting a bird :/

Also open to suggestions on modifications.... don't want to go over the top and not really sure who sells aftermarket parts?

Ideas in my head are JOM coilovers,exhaust,smoked headlights(fly eye kit?)
a splitter for the front bumper(again not sure whats available??

Take the mud flaps off.

Buy a set of pimp 18's, not chavy...pimp.

Slap some JOM coilovers on it.

A set of S3 brakes.

A K03s.

Remap.

Be a winner.

Anything else will detract from the JRG beauty.

I have porsche d90's in candy red ready to go on i will be having them powder coated black first though!

Already running a mk3 golf gti down 110mm,no suprise it only comes out at the weekends,due to being the worst handling splitter cracking pot hole absorbing shed on the roads lol

Thanks mate! It really is in awesome condition apart from bubbles on each door and a cracked passenger headlight,advantages that i'm a detailer and ex panel beater,so it will be getting a full respray and very well looked after thereafter,i'm quite particular about my cars wether people(most i know) think it's an old shed or not,i love it!

Face lift lights make it look a lot nicer, I recently fitted some to mine

Get some spacers to push the wheels out to the arches. Nothing stupid though. I think it just gives the car a fatter stance - works especially well with smaller wheels. I always think the standard A3 body with a standard track looks like a bodybuilder with a small willy.
