Competition time again.

If you missed out on the Audi Experience Day competition we ran last month here is your chance to win yet another amazing prize from Audi UK and audi-sport.net.

Audi-Sport.net has been given two tickets by Audi UK to give away to a lucky member for the Festival of Speed on the 11th of July 2013. This great prize also includes a ride up the world famous Goodwood Hill in either a R8 V10 or RS6. This is one of the hottest tickets in the events calendar and getting harder each year to even get tickets for.

Simply enter the competition by clicking the banner you will find at the top of most pages or go to the following link below.

I will be attending on Thursday also!

Snap :)

If an ASN T-Shirt turns up in time then I'll be donning that round the festival so if you do see me come and say hi :D

I'll also be the guy trying to blag as much as I can from all the car dealers - mainly from Audi ;) lol

I think I only had 7 of them, gave them all away at GTI Inters, was suppose to save one for one of the A4 guys, but I disappointed him! :(

Could probs meet up with you guys on the day just to say hi?

Wow, finally got back not long ago, went to Brighton for fish and chips after the show, as it was down the road! lol :yum:

Didn't take as much pics as I would have liked, as it was pretty busy and my phone went through the battery quick on the highest light setting, great weather though, and 4.5hrs to get there!

This one's for you Sandra. I sat in it!

Looks good, we'll be there on Sunday and are lucky enough to be booked in with Audi hospitality, really looking forward to going.

Few tips, sunblock!, get there early, the event starts at 7, if you can get there for 7, then do it, the event is huge, I arrived around 12, despite setting off @7, it was 1hr to travel the last 7 miles! Also, for anyone else going, don't forget your car keys to make use of the hospitality suites for a free drink, Audi and BMW both have this! Worthwhile going to the Audi stand first to get a free canvas bag to carry all the freebies(cheers kwistof ;)) Pretty much the last/furthest part of the show is the rally stage thing, it's a 20 minute hike up hill, get there before 5 when it stops, I was gutted getting there @5.05! Lol

What an amazing day that was....

I'm still aching from all the walking about and standing that was going on.

I took around 150 pictures are so, but still need to go through them all and I still missed out loads as my Iphone died at about 3pm :(

I didn't even try and blag the Audi hospitality suite in the end as my mate and I were to busy trying to fill the day with as much as possible and we still ended up missing bits out! Was nice to meet up with you Joe (cheers for the gift) and glad you enjoyed your first time there....briefly met Adaministrator as well who was a very nice chap also :)

To sum up the day for anyone going....

  • Arrive as early as you can - traffic is/will be very busy around Goodwood and even if you get there at 7am you will be pushed to see everything in 1 day.
  • Audi had the best stand IMO and the best freebie give away....canvas bag with some little goodies inside
  • Alfa Romeo had the best ummmmmmm skirt - lets just say that :whistle2: lol
  • Ford give away free ice lollies at the bottom of their stand (bare in mind they're £2 from venues inside)
  • DO NOT park near the track if you can help it - I saw some stunning motors absolutely covered in a thick layer of dust when leaving :sadlike:
  • Make sure you take cash....not many places like cards and the cash machines are a good old trek to get to and have a surcharge.
I honestly think it's one of the best days out for a petrol head- there is literally something for everyone who is into any type of motor sport and fun for all the family.
Thanks to all those who helped make it happen, I'll post up some pictures once I get a chance to view them all myself! lol :beerchug:

Thank you again to Audi UK and Audi-sport.net for the competition prize.

Having won the ticket for Thursday, I managed to get a ticket for Friday too so managed to make it a two day event, one which was thoroughly enjoyed.

The main event Thursday was my run up the hill in an Audi R8 V10 stronic. Driven by one of the Audi driving experience instructors normally found at Silverstone I knew I was in good hands. A sense of security was just as well because the ride was a real experience feeling every extreme of acceleration and most impressively the braking that the R8 had to offer. The drivers warning “we’ll get the car moving about a bit” an accurate description! A really fantastic ride.

I have nearly 500 pictures uploaded to Flickr (all high res) for you to enjoy and a quick video montage on youtube.

It’s hard to know where to start with a taster of the pics, but here are a few:

If you are going to the FoS tomorrow, enjoy but be warned traffic is getting worse and worse to get to the event so leave early.
