Do work son!!

Morning all! It's Friday!
Weather is looking good for the weekend. 99% chance of alcohol consumption.

Was going to cycle to work this morning, but its raining. Looks like I'll have to take the car, which means my 2.5 mile journey home from work just became 10 miles...

Yep, completely standard. No plans - quite happy with her as she is.

Yes, plenty fast - keep in mind I've been driving a Mazda 2 Sport for the last 2 years though!
(102bhp, although my Mum's 1.4 Polo felt more powerful...)

You'll want more power as soon as you get some shonky old 8L flying past you like you were going backwards ;)

Best get into the 8P section, put on some even bigger OEM wheels and get airbags. Thats what everyone does in there dont they? If you arent low enough to smash your sump you`re not doing it right. Im correct arent i?

I had cheaty Chinese for dinner - it was very tasty!
(Sweet & sour chicken from Sainsburys)

My Friday evening is going to be a very quiet one. As much as I love Fridays, I'm glad this one is nearly over - it's been a very long day!

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Alright chaps? Hope all got back from Inters OK.

Why is it that my car insurance, mortgage deal and dual-fuel energy tarriff all need renewing in the same month? What joy.

Got a good deal from Perstige on the car insurance just now though. They especially liked my 21yrs of NCB - just proves I am officially an old git now.

Paul, apologies for not saying bye properly last weekend I didn't realise you were sitting in your car as we pulled off! Too much sun probably.

21 NCB is good. I've just renewed with 11 years but it's not as cheap as I'd liked. Declaring all the mods is a biatch.

I'm going to bye a TDI runabout in the next month or two to take some of the strain off the S3 but will mean 2 cars to insure and tax :(

No worries Westy, didn't spot you either until I'd got in and turned the air-con on. Wasn't going to get out into the heat again after that, not even to kiss you goodbye!

:puke:

Evening all. I don't get chance to go into the pub anymore, having a real job sucks. Actually, I love it, but the inflexibility is poopers.

Fred, still considering a b5/b6?

I'm still considering an 14 1.8tqs for my work, cycling sucks round here! It's 6 miles, and the last three are steep and nasty busy country roads.

Probably a B5 to be honest. After the recent brake scare when the mrs was driving the car and her journey about to get and extra 10 miles longer a day I think its time to sort a TDI.

Yeah, I think it is! A nice auto, burgundy diesel 100bhp a4 avant will do you. Just a shame we don't know anybody with one?!
