The TQS will soon be up for sale as I have a growing family. Have now purchased a B7 A4 2.0 TDi 140.
It has been fun and I have enjoyed the performance and grip of the TQS but it is time to go.

See you on the flip side.:notme:

PM me details of your b5 when you have it for sale. Mileage, colour etc.

Not this one I'm afraid. Got work. Hopefully next time.
Cheers

You may regret getting a 2.0.

You've probably heard the horror stories about oil pump balancer shafts and injectors ;)

Hi again. I have posted some pics over on the B7 pics sticky. Cheers

LOL sorry over in the pics sticky on the B7 forum. :undwech:

Still no takers on the TQS!!
Have reduced the price to £2100 O.N.O. It's on Gumtree, ScotAds, Pistonheads and in the back windows of the car.
Why won't it sell?
Upset to sell her but need it sold. :bye:

Yes, I may be interested! Still potentially looking for one. I'm game, but the wife is claiming we don't need a second car... I'm working on her. Cheers mate.

Oh my word, what a beautifully maintained and prepared car!

Looks really nice actually :) Whats the deal with the aircon controls and stereo though? Is that standard? it's completely different to mine.

Did you worry about the balancer shaft issue or have you sourced one that doesn't suffer from the issue as I'm looking to change one of those myself but am worried about what ones suffer with the problem

Hi,

Yeah it is all standard. I have noticed in some pics of other TQS that there seem to be varients.

I haven't had any probs with this one. I'm not overly mechanical so not really sure what the balancer shaft is although I have heard about the problem. Surely out of the goodness knows how many of these cars mae the problem is relatively small, or is this not the case. Does it matter how the car has been serviced before hand? My car is an ex met police one, so it has been serviced regularly etc.

Hi. It seems to be 2005 engines (from a quick scan at the posts) and I don't know if it makes a difference too cas mine is the 7 speed tipronic box. I am basically clueless :tumble:. All I know is if the check oil light comes on, turn her off no matter what.

The balancer shaft fault is on all 2.0 TDi engines, I would have it checked or replaced, the 2005 engine you are talking about is the BLB TDi engine which has a chain driven oil pump which also has a design flaw and fails which results in oil starvation to the engine & turbo. However if the balancer shaft fails then you get the same oil starvation and the same dead engine & turbo.

This thread may give you a better idea of the fault. http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/audi-s...lems-definitive-guide-audi-vw-skoda-seat.html

cool thanks for that. I shall have a read tomorow.

Well that's the car sold. It is now heading south with i hope a happy guy.
Gonna miss the TQS. Enjoy it Crazy88

It's great! Glad it stays in the forum too ha. Was good to meet you today. And I'll look after it, don't worry!

And the nice thing is...you've already done all the mods I'd want to do, so now I can just enjoy driving it. I did wonder whether to put my s4 Asus wheels on it, but might just keep them for the b6.
