Hi guys!

Well this is what I ordered on 25th April

A3 1.8TFSI S Tronic Sport
Scuba Blue
Black Milano Leather
Comfort Pack
Interior Light Pack
Non-Smoking
Storage Pack
Technology Pack
Xenon Pack
5 Arm Kinetic Alloys
Advanced Key
B&O Sound
Door Mirror (dimming and folding)
Heated Seats
Parking System (F & R and reversing camera)
Privacy Glass
Tyre Pressure sensor

Just wondering how long it usual takes to take delivery once the car has been confirmed that its in the UK? I asked the dealer today for an update, and he's told me that it's listed as in the port. I've asked him when it actually arrived in the UK, so hoping for an answer tomorrow.

Do you think a pick up by the end of next week is likely?

It's so close I can almost smell that new car smell!

Matt

I would think a pick up some time next week is a possibility :) x

you ordered that on 25th april and your car is on its way already-WOW! i also ordered around that time and got estimated date of 30th sept, was it a cancellation or something-you must be buzzin, hope all goes well.

My car took 18 days from leaving the factory to me collecting from the dealer. I am led to believe the company who is responsible for transporting the cars from UK ports has a contractual agreement to transport cars within 3 days of there arrival at the port.

Mark

Well lets hope that means I get to pick up next week then!

I wasn't told if I had taken someone's cancellation spot. I was originally told that the car would be ready at the beginning of August, so it may just be that, because of the large spec, they pushed it through early for me?

Pleased for you equilibrium, bet you are excited.

[impatient rant mode on]
damn all these people who get there cars after only 3 months waiting and their build weeks keeping coming forward. What's wrong with waiting their turn, do they think they can jump the queue and push in? After all we are British and we don't do that sort of thing! Haven't these people got any patience? Or stamina for waiting for the prescribed time of 5 to 6 months..........aagghghhhhh!

[/impatient rant Off]

ahh, that's better, feel like my normal self now.

Mine has been at Tyne for 8 days now, called the Dealer but they didn't have a transport date to Aberdeen yet :( seems i will just have to keep hanging around the showroom, licking the windows and drinking their coffee!!!

its buried in this lot !

Just had a call from the dealer! It's on a transporter on it's way to the dealership. It should arrive tomorrow, but there's an outside chance it arrives Thursday. There's the slimmest of chances that I can pick it up on saturday morning (I guess that's if the car is delivered tomorrow morning), otherwise it's going to be a loooong weekend!

It's getting close guys, I can't wait to play with it!

Nice one. You have lots of options to play with, and it's my favourite colour, scubal blue! Havn't seen one on the road of that colour......not that I'm jealous...lol

Great news Equilibrium. Mark, I have seen an A3 in Scuba blue and looked really great in the sunshine. Both you and Equilibrium will love your colour choice!

good to see scuba blue is making its appearance on the roads. I think amalfi and glazier whites plus Daytona grey are the most popular colours. I still have to be patient, my car hasn't even been built yet! But i guess you all know how it feels.

Less that 24 hours to go!

I agree, you really don't see any Scuba Blues on the road, but I think that's fantastic as I'm always going to feel slightly more unique when I'm driving my beautiful car.

I'm tempted to walk into the dealership today just to have a look at the car, but I think it'll take some of the magic away tomorrow so I'm resisting at the moment...

I'm like a kid in a christmas sweet shop on christmas eve...

Right guys, I've got a question for you...

How long does it usually take for the handover? I'm part-exing so I guess they'll look around the car (again), check the service book and make sure everything's great that end. We'll then head inside, I'll look around the car for damage or missing specs, then we'll sit down and sign and I'll be on my merry way? Is 30 minutes realistic?

Sorry, cant answer your question equilibrium, I am still impatiently waiting! However, good luck tomorrow, and don't forget to post some pics of you scuba blue beauty!

30-45 minutes is about right based on my last experience, enjoy

probably a bit longer than 30 mins I'd of thought.

Have a great day mate and enjoy the car, looking forward to the pics as Scuba was a colour I was tempted by.

Loving the car! So many gadgets and gizmos to play with. It looks incredible at night too (especially the lighting inside).

Wow, the car looks fantastic, i so love the colour. Have you got the new car grin? How many miles have you done? :) x

Yup, I've had the grin all weekend long. I keep looking out of my window to remind myself that it's now in my drive! I've up 500 miles on it so far! It's brilliant to drive though. Doesn't corner as well as the 3 series, but that was to be as expected... No regrets here!

interior lights are cool, have seen a few times, never realised scuba blue looked so good. You have made be doubt colours choice, narrowed down to misano red or Daytona grey ! Now 3 colours to choose from !
