Hi all,

I've just booked a Club 18-30 holiday to San Antonio, Ibiza with the gf. Has anybody got any reccomendations of things to do/avoid etc?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, avoid booking an 18-30 type holiday if you are taking your gf. As for sight seeing, the sights you are going to see are not in any tourist guide.

Enjoy!

Not quite sure what to make of those comments..........:uhm:
We are more interested in chilling out, drinking and maybe a nightclub one night and a booze cruise.

Urm yes, avoid Ibiza :)

LOL. The best way for me to describe the difference between what you want and what you have booked is like your gf saying she wants a new pair of shoes and you bring home some break pads.

Couples can go to Ibiza though. I know plenty of couples that have and had a great time.

Totally agree, but having been on an 18-30 style holiday I can assure you it is not about couples having a relaxing break, it is more like singles wanting to go on a bender and have lots of how's your father. What happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza!

I am sure you will have a great time and I hope you enjoy yourselves.

Do you know if plenty of those couples book into a 18-30 holiday though?

The whole hotel and place will be alive 24/7! lol

You can have a relaxing time in San Antonio - my parents and I have done so before, however I expect the hotel, excursions and any entertainment will all be based around getting stupidly drunk, making loads of noise and maybe not what a couple who are looking for some relaxation are after....

Let us know your experience though

good luck !

We arent booking any excursions etc with the reps nor participating in any Club 18-30 'games'. We are doing out own thing. Just wondering whats good to do?

good to do in ibiza

as above
drink
party
girls
dont count on any sleep the 18/30 hotels are 24/7 noise and partys

. Has anybody got any reccomendations of things to do

Yeh..........Get pi$$ed but wear sun cream:laugh:

On a serious note,go on the boat trip and watch the sunset, fantastic to see the sun going down.......very romantic and well worth it.

Now that's the kind of advice I'm looking for!!! Thanks!

The water park is pretty nice over there and the flea market on the island is alright if you want to buy 5 Guci watches for €50! Lol

Rent a couple of mopeds out and explore the island as there are some pretty quiet and relaxing places over there - it just probably won't be in your hotel.

Here's some info on the market -

The water park sounds good. Is that near San Antonio? The hotel we are staying in has a strict no music and noise after 12. But u do expect some noise. I can't wait. It's my first holiday in 15 years!!!

To be honest, I went around 10 years ago when I was around 14/15 so I cannot remember exactly where it is on the island, but some friends went last year and said it was still there :) lol

I went with my family and 5 others- so there was a good 25-30 of us and we all had a great time considering we was in Ibiza and my parents would rather listen to Classic FM than Pete Tong on Radio 1! haha (I still don't understand the reason we went but it was an incredible holiday....even if I didn't go into any of the major clubs)

I'm sure google can give you a hand on ideas, and maybe that site I linked about with other things to do on the island that doesn't involve an 'Inbetweeners' style holiday!

What hotel are you staying in mate? You say San Antonio but do you mean the Bay or right in the mixer!?

I go every year sometimes twice a year, sometimes with the gf but usually with mates. I would say that if you want a good evening/night out then head over to the playa den bosa area (bora bora) some realy nice bars over there and also that's where the night club SPACE is.

You have to also spend an evening on sunset strip (or at least watch the sun go down at cafe del mar or Mambo's)

Be ready to pay though as its not cheap in those areas bud I would much prefer to spend a bit more in nice areas than waste my money in the west end.

got to visit a big club like pacha/space/es Paradis

last thing is dont bother with the Zoo project it's rubbish. Also if you do decide to get involved with illegal substances be very carefull as the police have been coming down hard over the last few years on anyone caught in posesion

I'm staying in Hotel Tropical right in the middle of San Antonio. It had the best reviews out of all the hotels there.

Ah ok I've stayed round by there a few times at Ibiza Rocks hotel. Your right at the top of the west-end. Just round the corner from the sunset strip head down there as its a great place to be with the mrs.

Best thing to do is have a good walk about on the first day your there mate
