Picked her up on Friday and she was detailed the following day....really pleased with it and now it has been run in, I need to get one of ABYSS' tuning boxes on there so I can surprise a few people :w00t:

I second that and you don't even need to go near a kerb - any small pothole will do.

To the OP - nice car, hope you enjoy it.

Yeah,I know. I've been in touch with him as the cars are almost clones of one another, even down to the tuning boxes ( when I get one from Andy )..:beerchug:.

Only just done 600 miles, so I can start to use her properly now.....it'll be interesting to see how it compares to the old S3 when you press the 'go' pedal, as its certainly head and shoulders better on the motorway than the S3 ever was.

Oh and I forgot to say that my car recorded a 5.1s to 60mph using launch control and the DTUK box (not turned up full) with just me in the car and 1/4 tank of fuel. Not too bad. Still did a 5.4s two up, loaded with snowboarding kit and with a full tank of fuel as well so it's certainly no slouch!

How do you find your car in general mate?

I'm getting the 3.0 tdi quattro in the beginning of November and would love to hear what it's like to live with :)

Nice colour that, is it Monsoon Grey?

Do you still need to run-in a new car? I've never bought new before, until now.

Steve

Thanks for the comments.....It's Daytona Grey.......as for running in, some say yes, some say no but the handbook says 600 miles at no more than 2/3 of maximum revs with no heavy loading, then 600 slowly increasing revs used and load.

Ive always run my cars in...it just feels the right thing to do, for the tyres, brakes etc as well as the engine.

Yes it does seem the right thing to do.

Thanks for the help.
