Hi all, new member here but been following this thread for some time now.

Just back from my local (Stirling) dealer having spent a couple of days discussing a new S3 Sportback.

So Basically,

Audi Sportback S3 TFSI Quattro 5dr S Tronic
Misano Red
Advanced Key

£37,875 on the Road sometime in November.

Discussed any discounts and was told no chance but they would work with me on my trade in.


Seriously considering it as it suits my needs perfectly, the modern (older mans) hot hatch :) My VXR / RS days are over. Just cant help but think what else I could buy at that kind of money. Certainly a lot to think about.
 
I would remove the Protection Package, or at least make sure you're happy with what's covered with the insurance policies. You can get GAP cover significantly cheaper from other insurers. That'll save you £1k straight away :)
 
What is the score on LED lights then ?
Any news on when these will become available ?
Can you order a car and then add later on ?
These were a BIG cool factor for me, so much so I would have to hang back an order waiting for them to be released, unless I could add on prior to the car build being confirmed.

No news Snake on these - I agree with you on holding back- I e-mailed a salesman who is well aware of my interest, to try and find the latest info on the LEDs but nothing heard so far - )he may be on hol though). I been offered 6% off through a broker but I wont be committing to anything unless I get some clear news on the LEDs.

I have resigned myself to a delay of a few months on the LEDs - but thats based on nothing more than my own guess! Others have been given November delivery slot for orders now, so if a couple extra months delay on those LEDS - then I prob consider holding back for March 2014.

I'm doing the same, I think an order for a 14 plate S3 with LED headlights is looking pretty likely. I wonder if the discount will pick up by then plus when is the Golf R due, that may effect the willingness of the dealers to offer something more?

Totally agree... although they all look pretty good.

I think the Estoril may suffer the same issues I find with Daytona. On dull overcast days it doesn't look anything special, but in sunlight it looks awesome.

I ordered yesterday my S3. The LED's are available in Holland in the Pro Line Plus package which contains:

MMI navi plus
PDC (back)
B&O sound system
LED headlights
Audi Connect
Mono pur

€ 4.500,-

On the normal A3's the LED headlights are since two weeks available (MY2014) with a upgrade price of € 1.008,-
 
Here in the Netherlands the Sportback is introduced first. It should be the 3-door but they changed it with an unknown reason. Build date week 35 en delivery mid september.

How come you can order it when it's not yet in the audi NL car configurator ? I wonder if that means it's now available in Belgium also?
 
Has anyone else noticed that on stage 2 of the configurator - the engine selection part - if you then click the "compare engine and equipment" button on right side - it gives you a list of standard S3 equipment. In the section detailing seats - it says in addition to heated seats -
"Electric front seat adjustment - driver´s seat with memory function"

I guess this is too good to be true - in the configurator it later gives electric adjustment as a £550 option.

Can anyone clarify further?
 
Ordered my S3 sportback and have a build week of 42 so hopefully mid november delivery time,managed to get a very good deal done by Graeme Keen from Tyneside Audi.
 
I'm seriously considering a move back to Audi from VW. There's a lot of pages in this thread. Has anyone managed to get a discount yet?

With a memory function too - the lack of this on the configurator is what stopped me speccing it. Pretty pointless otherwise!

Realistically, any "S" car without all singing & dancing seats is taking the pi$$. The ammount of 8P's I've walked away from because it never had all electric adjustment I've lost count of!
If you have to pay extra for them then Audi are ripping us off!
If you look at the 8L, all electric Recaro's were standard & some of the comfiest seats I've sat in!

Just an update before I start one of those much anticipated/really annoying depending on your perspective "XXX days to go!" threads :rockwoot:

Following a chat with the excellent Andrew at BetterCarDeal.co.uk I'm going to pulling the trigger on the below in the next couple of days. Many thanks to Splathead and Daveotto for the recommendation. Straightforward to deal with, no faffing or b/s and a discount between 6-7%.

Was tempted by B&O sound but not that much of an audiophile to justify the extra when everything I've heard about the active Audi branded system has been positive. Also still debating on electric lumbar support if anyone has experience - and will be confirming whether the front seats are electric as standard or not so will let you know if I hear before anyone else.

So all being well I'll be sat in the dealers this Saturday confirming everything and signing on for five months of agonising waiting. Should be fun :)

Went to my local Nottingham Audi dealer yesterday, armed with quotes from lease car companies and talk of discounts on here and from bettercardeal.

When I put it to them that I would prefer to buy from them, but it really came down to price, they very quickly agreed to knock the 7% off, and when the monthly cost was still a little higher than from the lease companies (I was using this as the number to compare to their PCP deal), they relented and matched it!

Very pleased with the deal, and am already counting the days until, hopefully, a November delivery.

Does anyone have pictures of any panther black cars (doesn't need to be an S3)? In particular, shots that show the difference to phantom black which I currently have on my 8P.
 
I only joined these forums recently following a chat with Mrs REB about the size of our current car, an A5 3.0 TDi Sportback which she says is too big for her to drive. So I started looking for something smaller and the A3 looked like the obvious choice. I took one look at the S3 and thought "I want one!". Did some research over the last 3 weeks or so and decided on a spec.

I got a quote from 'Better Car Deal' which I took to my local dealer today and after some discussions, they agreed to match the price!

So the specification is as follows:

S3 2.0 TFSI quattro S Tronic 3 Door
Misano Red

B & O Sound System

Good call on the Misano Red REB, looks like a lovely colour!

Got a call from my Audi dealer yesterday, stating build week 41 (early Oct), which apparently means we're on course for the first week of Nov :)

I hope that's not true! My dealer has said that mine has a delivery of end of July. When the order first went in it said sept but it then jumped forward.
I know the sport back is due for November delivery so hopefully that's what he means

I mentioned the Sportback being Nov and the 3 door for Sep and he was adamant that no S3 would be delivered before Nov. I don't think he actually knows but we'll see.
 
Oh god I really hope that's not true! Ill have to call my dealer. I can't remember what the build week was but it was first week of July. Makes no sense to build them and keep them hanging around for months surely?

Thursday June 20th PON Audi Import Netherlands introduced the S3 en I ordered him Saturday the 20th of June. The configurator is online since today. Ik hopefully get the car mid September. WK38.

Oh, I almost forgot. I asked the my salesman about the pending Audi price rises on 1 July and he couldn't (or wouldn't) confirm whether they applied to the S3 or not. His answer was to order before 1 July to lock in the price.

Yes, we thought so too. The dealer has an A3 TDi S-line in the showroom in Misano and it looks a lot better than I remember it looking when it was an option for the A5 S-Line 3 years ago - although then I was looking at one of their sample panels.

At first I thought it was the Brilliant Red but on checking the spec sheet it is Misano. Who am I to argue?

Can't find the S3 on 'Better Car Deal' website?! Did you contact them direct?
 
Orange Wheels are slightly cheaper at the moment, if that's any help
 
So, spoke to Orange Wheels and they're doing about 8% discount which is pretty good. Just need a quote from a dealer now. Anybody got any ideas what a 3yr PCP monthly cost would be like on 8k miles putting about £2k in?!
