S3 exhaust backbox rattles

Hi, My 02 S3 rear back box is rattling a little so will be looking to replace soon.

I want to stay standard in looks and sound (yeah boring I know) so does anyone know where I could purchase a quality rear exhaust back box please? I haven't tried main dealer just yet as its going to be a bit pricey.

Mine started to rattle and I found that one welds on the tips had broken and the tip was rattling, enough that I could hear it inside the car. Welded it back on and it's all good again.

check out the heat sheild, 8 or 10mm nuts tightened mine and rattle went away. ps some are a pain to get tp

For a laugh I just called Audi - they want £480 for a new back box...

If you are looking for a replacement, then a Milltek is usually the choice to go for in terms of a good quality product and proven results/fitment......if you go for the resonated section then this will keep the OEM sound and won't be to loud. Although personally I'd go for the non-resonated section.

It's pretty costly for a Milltek though, (more than OEM) so you could always pop to your local exhaust fabricator to see what they can offer. Not to sure on where you're located though?
