So something that has always annoyed me is people who dont care about other peoples property.

I take pride in my car and i HATE rough paintwork... My car has some i do admit and it kills me everytime i wash it to see, but until i can scrape funds together for repaint it will have to do.

So this weekend i parked in the metro centre like i normally do.
I come back to find a painful looking scratch on my boot, amost looks like someone has put something down and pulled it off leaving a 6-7inch oval scratch, not to deep but you notice it pretty well.

Hard to see with the light, but you can see it.

So since i washed it today i decided to try and remove it by hand as my pal has decided to destroy my DA, 1 hour later and it was gone!

What scratch? ;)

Next week ill be tackling to doors!
Pretty much the whole left hand side is covered in small scuffs

Dont have to tell me twice haha. He tried to play it down like it wasnt his fault... THEN he was cheeky enough to ask "would you like it back" i was like... :banghead:

If you don't mind me asking - what products did you use?

Not a problem at all, I used AutoGlym Paint renovator.
I was using a foam applicator pad to rub it in, then when the solution was getting thin i was wiping it off with a microfibre cloth, checking the scratch depth and then reapplying if needed.

I have to admit its hard work by hand, but i love doing it!

EDIT; you might want to wax it after as youve removed all protection.
I used DODO juice "light fantastic" i swear by the stuff, love it!

Wow man i have some scratches on mine and have tried my hand but looks like im not giving it enough time.

Think ill be trying again tomorrow.

It depends how deep they are to be honest mate, as long as there not too deep you have a high chance of getting them out or defo making them less visible.
It does take time by hand and you do have to keep stopping as you get achyhand syndrome but its well worth it and i get more satisfaction from doing it the hardway.

Just keep checking what it looks like by removing all of the compound, you DONT want to go to far with it.

Bet you anything the scratch was a woman walking past with bags or handbag....

I guess i will never know, i do try to park away from other cars though, especially if i notice a baby seat in it.

Bet you're like popeye now removing that by hand ;)
Good effort though mate :icon_thumright:
