Just confirmed with the dealership today that my car is on the boat on the way over! Im used to the current Audi feel and look but still cant wait to get my hands on it! Originally planned on an A3 Sportback but they just happened to be able to do me a really good deal on the A6 BE so naturally I applied man maths and duly caved in!!

Pics to follow when I get it! :sm4:

Niice. Nice spec on the black edition. Love the PQU alloys

Cheers buddy. I've always liked those alloys, the wife didn't want them on hers so had to get them somehow!

The A6 seems really well specced overall, shame it's BOSE not B&O but I wasn't shelling out the 6k for the upgrade! :O

Massive money for the B&O, but I bet the Bose is good enough. The standard Audi system sounds good as it is. Post some pics when you get it :)

Its arrived!!! Came yesterday, typically while I was at work! Luckily I had taken the afternoon off!! I'm really impressed so far, drive is really smooth, gearbox ratios seem better than the A5 even though it's the same engine. Lots of nice toys and gadgets as standard, some I'm yet to play with!! Bose sounds as good as the b&o in the a5...
Off to France in it tomorrow so should be run in by the time we get back... Here is a quick pic, better ones when we come back and I detail it...

Looks great, I bet you wish you were going even further than France!

250 miles in and we are already planning the next road trip... I'm thinking Modena via France then back from Spain... Such a comfortable ride!

Hopefully getting mine soon, what would you have got option wise knowing what you know now.

I can honestly say that having now covered just over 3000 miles, the car is near enough perfect for me. If I were to spec it again, the only thing I would add is the power fold door mirrors as I occasionally park on a road and end up folding the outer mirror in manually. Other than that, it does everything I need and more!

Performance wise, the 2.0tdi is loosening up nicely giving enough poke to overtake when needed and giving between 45-50mpg on my commute. The BOSE does sound almost as good as the B&O in the A5 - not so much worse, just a different quality to the sound especially when listening to instrumental music. It's amazingly comfortable, meaning even after long journeys, we get out completely fresh. The wheels are easier than the RS6 style wheels on the wife's A5 to clean although I do worry how the machined face will fare over the winter.

What spec are you looking at getting?

If you want any more info, just give me a shout. :icon_thumright:

Well, i decided to go for it and got the A6. It's got power folding mirrors, tech pack advanced, comfort pack, lighting pack but my favourite upgrade is the LED headlights. It's still a bit too disengaged for dynamic steering, but easy car to drive.

In fact, only time I got anxious, was after I paid, they sent me with a driver who insisted on driving the car to fill it up and bombed down road taking corners fast and loose and after genuinly getting scared, I asked him to calm down and take it easy, well that seemed to offend him, and he returned to the office. Weekend kid who thought he was a formula one driver, had a word with sales guys, and don't think they're going to keep him employed. Not just me, but he spent whole day hanging around receptionists looking like a bouncer.
