It's great fun...you should get a bottle from behind the bar and venture out with it onto the golf course for your next round of golf...

Be warned though- you are guaranteed to be leaving the golf course with tee off's like Happy Gilmore style :)

Nah dude i sold it about 6 months ago, was a great little car tbf, not my cup of tea all the time, but it was fast enough with 250bhp and looked nice if you like that kind of thing. Totaly impracticle tho, 2 kids can just about sqeeze in the back and fat people have no chance.

No worries dude, Take it your mrs likes the tt and your comprimising as I did lol the s3 is the better choice and cheaper to buy.
 
She's trying to persuade me that we don't need a second car, but yes a compromise is a tt. But I actually don't mind them too much to be honest. I am still very tempted by an s3 though, if we do get a second car.

I'm still looking to buy an A4 TDI (soon) but the mrs is trying to persuade me we don't need 3 cars but she doesn't want to drive my S3 any more and her mileage is about to to up about 15 miles a day. I swear the S3 will be retired to a track car by the end o the year ;)

It has crossed my mind but I intend to find a new job soon so won't be doing the miles I am now. A £1k A4 TDI would do the trick and allow me to take the S3 to the next level. I would love to lease a new Golf or a Rocco but it woul defeat the point of getting a cheap runner and just cost more!

The new saloon looks rather tasty, carbon copy of the 1series saloon but still a nice motor, and will be awsome when the s3 saloon is launched :) I could be tempted to lease that.

HIYYAAAAAAAAA!

done some diy for my mother today, now its parmo time! well deserved havnt eaten all day!

my dads car broke down as well on the a66, guess that's what happens when you have a mondeo estate for three years and never top up the water or oil or even get it serviced ha!
 
Lol had a mondeo driver break down in work last night, electrical fault, even the pick up truck had no idea where to start poor ******. For the record tonight is chicken kebab night, yyaaayyy!!

My Julys pay package is currently consisting of - AA breakdown renewal, car insurance and Vehicle Tax :crying: + my monthly mod/maintenance budget

Do you have launch control or any other help this year? E.g NLS and anti-lag?
 
5.5k!! :ohmy: Mehhhh i'm worried at launching at anything above 3.5K tbh...

Think my tired engine mounts might have something to do with it; as all hell lets loose if I don't get the right traction from the off! lol

What can or will you do to strengthen it? Or are do you just give a little prayer to God before you dump the clutch at 5.5k!? lol

I only ask because my gearbox shat itself over the M20 around Xmas and I just got the first cheapish second hand one I could really.

It wasn't that financially crippling as I first thought tbh- just need to be lucky with a decent box you pick up and have a friendly mechanic :) Although you do pretty much all of the work yourself after browsing through your build thread!

I hear Prawns pretty good with a gearbox change as well IIRC! lol

Sounds horribly familiar (apart from tax / mod budget). Bleugh.

I used to dislike Mondays. After today, I positively detest Mondays.

Anyone good with birds, the avus version?

Got woken up about 0300 this morning by this awful screeching, no idea what it was.
We normally get some odd noises from the wildlife but never heard this before.

This is no nest or normal birds.

It even sent the dogs mental when it made its noise or as I like to refer to it as "its about to unleash death on all it surveys cry".
