Hi guys, I have just ordered a new flywheel and clutch for my 2.0 tdi 140 and it has arrived in the post today. On the front of the box it states that there is a tool required to make sure the clutch is the correct adjustment whilst fitting. I know about these tools from a different manufacturer I've fitted clutches to. My question is how do you tell if its been adjusted already? Do the small springs need to be compressed right up? Is there another way to adjust it if I haven't got the correct tool? Thanks in advance

Mark

Well thanks a lot people for all your help. This forum really is worth signing up to. I've never been involved in a forum where you get no answers to your questions. So long ****ers!

You very probably have had no responses because it's the weekend and most members will be out somewhere doing something.
I am sure someone will be along to advise, just not immediately.

I think you are being bit impatient. Asking quite a technically difficult question on one of the busiest weekends on the calendar may be the reason why you have not had an answer yet, and your attitude isn't going to win or influence many new friends either!....

Many apologies for neglecting the forum on call, standby duties and answering your question within 24hrs on a summer weekend, I have a life.

As you're leaving I won't bother answering your question, wouldn't want to keep you here any longer than you like.
