Got a bit of a problem with my S3 2007 year. It seems to hold on to revs when driven quickly and changing gear. Ive done numerous google searches and the issue seems to be rife amongst 8L cars but no one mentions it on 8P.

basically when accelerating hard and running through the gears, the revs dont drop very quickly giving the impression of riding the clutch. (the clutch is a new sachs stage 1 and it works fine)

Any advice? Do the 8P cars still have clutch switch issues etc...

Thanks

I had this problem with my previous S3 8P (09).

It was badly mapped. Had ECU put back to standard values and hey presto it worked like a dream again.

Mine is recently bluefinned so that may be a factor, thanks

Every gear change used to make the car lurch forward, made it horrible to drive.

Ask bluefin to put the values of the ECU back to standard.

If no change re upload bluefin and hunt down a different problem.

My money is certainly on the map though.

Absolutely identical to the problem I had.

Update - thanks chap, it was the bluefin remap causing rev hang!
