Quattro Tiptronic: 20T FSI or 3.2 FSI ?

Audi have bent over backwards to help me with my problem with my A4. They even gave me a brand spanking new A6 S line Avant to run for a month whilst they sort mine out. I got a bill for nearly £6000 and without me even asking they offered to contribute and left me with a bill for £255!!!! And the time before that, they fixed my car for free (the repair should have cost £370!). The even pay for a taxi to take me anywhere if I drop my car off, and always fully clean it and valet it for free. They have always managed to make me feel special. Can't fault them at all!

Nice one!

[SUP]you can find any threads you have by typing the name of the thread in the top right search box.
Why is my car so special you ask ?
Back in 2011 they made the dynamik and have made a few more in 2012. The started off making it with the 2.0tfsi then made some 2.0tdi's.
Basically, it has the fully body kit, side skirts, rear lip spoiler, rear diffusers, front blade splitter, 19" black and silver hollow spoke wheels. It has been lowered 20mm from the standard A4 and it also has a black grille and window surrounds like a black edition.[/SUP]

Cool!
How it drive different to the bog standard 2.0T?

nooooo!
use search?
other forums i use just click: Profile | Content
u mean if reply to 20 threads - i have to search then individually to see if anyone replied afterwards?

i am now surprised by the dealer experience!
i actually WANT to buy from Audi now.
so, why u think Audi has pull all the stops to help customer (even with no warranty)?
wot thy gain?
why not shown on numerous surveys?

sorry so many questions.
and some not related at all.
coz this is probably the 1st time i spend the most on a car £15k
its my 1st Audi
and i am concern about the maintenance cost / reliability of brand.
am here so that i can be convinced its all worth it :)

Because it is lowered slightly i think it looks more sporty and handles corners faster but when i had a A4 S-line courtesy car with the same size tyres+wheels on the ride is smoother and not as bumpy, i also noticed it too when i went down a cobbled road to my mother in law's. But i like it lowered as it feels more sporty to drive rather than smooth which is what i like.
All the Dynamiks have the same spec too including the adaptive lights which go round corners with the steering wheel before you can even see round the corner which is cool !

The remap to 300BHP though is such a big difference it is unbelievably quick !

What i do is just go to the same section which i commented on somebody's thread and find it in there.

If you buy used from Audi you will get 1 Year warranty. I think they are helping people of which there warranty has run out so they get a good reputation of customer service. Say for example if you bought a brand new Audi for £50,000 and in 3 years you are out of warranty and you get a problem, the customer will be kicking off saying something along the lines of "i bought this superior marque of car for all that money and now i have a problem out of warranty you will not repair for good will which i have to pay for" and it is especially unfair for the ones who do little mileage and look after it well too when they get a problem with there car when it is out of warranty. I suppose you haven't exactly picked up a cheap car off the auction for £1000.
And i suppose if they get an Audi again and after the car is 3 years old they will have peace at mind that if they get a problem Audi will repair it even though its out of warranty.

Not so sure about the surveys sorry.
And its no problem that is what the Forum is here for to help people out ! :)

Cheers Dynamik!

certainly is a friendly helpful forum here!

and thanks for all your advice / comments too! :)

Right i know what i want now.

A4 quattro 2.0T tipron advant s-line!!!

Hi Dynamik

Cheers pal - u a STAR!

OK - deffo want the B8 pre-FL look!

Have ruled out the S4 / RS4 - want to keep my 1st Audi a good few years - so running cost important :)

Cheers!

Okay just thought i would be abit crazy :scared2:
So you are looking for:
Audi A4 B8 2.0Tfsi 211bhp Quattro S-Line Automatic Avant 15k max price ? What options must the car have ?
I will keep a look out for you, but it will be hard to find one as they are allot more expensive than 15k.

Slightly extreme but what about this ?
Audi S4 S4 QUATTRO 5DR TIP AUTO 4.2 2005

Cheaper tax bracket as it is before 06 plate and you are planning to spend £15000 get this and save the the extra £4000 for the fuel costs :)

In regard to the S4, if you find a 2.0TFSI 211bhp and Revo Remap it, it will be faster than that S4 without the costly fuel expense i suppose.

Let's just say ideally I want:
A4 S-Line
B8 pre-FL
Quattro
Auto
2.0T (or 1.8T)
I prefer avant (but saloon looks better?)

Prefer:
Satnav
Parking sensors (front/back)
Heated front windscreen
£15k

Impossible?
Like the program WHEELER DEALERS - Find me that car! :)

There is no Quattro in the 1.8T + there abit dosey.

I like both the Saloon and the Avant and i wouldn't be bothered if mine was either, its just that mine was in the showroom at the time and it was saloon and i fell in love <3 hahah !

It depends what you like and what is more practical for you though.

Nope. Just down to the 2.0tfsi 211bhp are we now ?

Not driven the 2.0t yet!
It could be after a test drive - I might not like it!
Then I am back to 3.2 - lol :)

I swop my Subaru Legacy 3.0 petrol for a Skoda Superb CR TDI in Jan13 -
didn't like diesel (love everything else about it),
then was given an Audi as a courtesy car - I was hooked on the Audi immediately.
Even though there wasn't any toys in the Audi, plus I even had to adjust my seats manually (Skoda electric) - eeeek!

Lol

You will love the 2.0T !
what car are you driving currently ?

Looks good that !
why don't you forget about the audi and take the Dpf off the skoda and remap it ? It will be much better then.
i doubt you will find a a4 for 15k with that much spec on.

happy to lose some toys on Audi.
most importantly i dont like diesel!

plus a remap would void my warranty (18months left).
been told my Skoda cannot install that switchable remap thing (back to standard box) :-(
i could be wrong!

You was told by Skoda.
I was told by Audi remapping my car was harmful to my engine 20,000 mile later engine is still running as good as new.
If Skoda can proove that remap has caused the fault then they will void your warranty. But there is no way they can proove it really so they will have to repair it.

its ok - i have set my mind on the Audi now :)

that 3.2 i tested.
they offered me £10k for Skoda.
plus £1000 off the £14k Audi.
i still walked out.

Any reason why you've not had a look at an Octavia VRS as it has the 2.0TFSI engine?

i looked at the Octavia before i got my Superb.
but prefer the Superb.

I dont know - u have a point.
maybe i just like the all rounding look + drivability package of the Audi?

i think i will snoop around the Octavia now - thanks!

That A3 is a good suggestion but it hasn't got the Led Daytime running lights which you like and the mileage is quite high.
I prefer the Octavia to the Superb IMHO and i like the 2.0TFSI Vrs as Scott said. Especially the blue one. But it is not 4wd.
Can i ask how come you want the automatic ? would you not have a manual ?

Sporty looks yes - octy vrs

But pure luxury and space (official superb has more leg space than merc s-class),
Then superb every time!

Auto man - am too old and was never any good with clutch control - lol

True, but they are well over 15k for the kind you want.

I did not say that, i think that was Scottish S3.

I had my 535D Bmw and i was fed up with it after 18 months so i was browsing at the Audi Dealership and came across this Red one. I saw it that day then had a think about it, had a test drive in a white demo the same and made them an offer which they accepted.

Sorry, mate!
My mistake :-(

But I will still wait.
If 11-plate are selling for £17k+ ,
then there must be some 08+ for less than that!

535d nice!
What didn't u like?
Loads of power, smooth and quiet and the toys! :)

Mine is a May 1st 2011 with 21,500 Miles and is worth about 22-24k

Well for a start i didn't like it because i had to have a week off work due to being stuck in the snow with Rwd basically loosing literally thousands... So i was not happy about that. We never had snow before then that's why i were not prepared and didn't think i would need winter tyres. I am not sure, it just weren't the car for me not sporty enough it was too luxurious and smooth and quiet like you say where i prefer something more fast and sporty.

It did have allot of power infact very quick untill i got the Dynamik and took it for a Revo Remap and it showed me the difference.
The Dynamik must have done about 5000 Miles and i went up to Scotland in it for a Bank Holiday Weekend.
Whilst i was travelling down the straight quiet motorway to Scotland i approached a 09 plate 535d M Sport exactly like i had but in Grey. Seems the driver was up for a "Race" he got faster and faster and i carried on and on chasing him and then he eventually were flat out with me still literally on his tail before he gave up and let me pass him at a high speed i wouldn't like to say :undwech:
Lets say i would be in serious trouble with the :busted_cop: if i got caught !

It did have allot of toys on but it didn't have things like this one does 4WD and adaptive Xenons and others.

But i must say i much prefer the A4 to the 5 Series.
Here is a picture.

Mate!

U been some place that I am now in :-(

I had a Subaru Legacy 3L 242bhp 4wheel drive,
lots of toys and on 50mpg on LPG! :-(
past couple of winters and it didn't let me down in snow -
In fact most people don't really know what car it is and watched
in amazement as drive up snow roads (whilst most cars turn back after getting stuck!).

But, the Legacy was getting old and had done 130k+
So I search for a European car alternative but was reliable.
I ended up searching for a Octavia 4x4 1.8T -
but thought it was still costly and finally ended up with
my current 2wd Superb diesel for economy reasons.

Loved it as like your 535d quiet and fully loaded.
But driving the choppy noisy diesel I didn't like.
I thought I could get use to it - plus the skidding front wheels every time I put much foot down.

Then I was given a 2010 A4 1.8T courtesy car -
Though it lack in toys and I was NOT happy thy given me an A4 (not A6 - lol)!
But I LOVED the driving!
It reminded what I missed in the quiet/smooth petrol
and the joy of putting my foot down with little wheel spin (like the AWD Subaru :)

I wanted one then and there!
Took a few more weeks to take the plunge - for financial reasons.
And HERE I AM!
Lol

Wow - u beat the 535d?
Or was it down to the driver? Wink wink?

Yeah that's true. The Quattro is brilliant, you can put as much power into it as much as you want off the line and it does not slip where as my wife's A5 Cab Fwd 2.0Tdi 170 when you touch the accelerator it ****** slips !
Even though it has 255/35 R19 Summer tyres on and it is lowered by 20mm it still can plough through thick deep snow i go out and ride up the hills in the snow just to play about in it !
How come you have a courtesy car anyway may i ask ?
I am not making out to be the fast cat here but the simple answer is yes i did beat it !
Somebody on here who has a white Dynamik manual same as mine with a Revo Remap has had it on the Rolling Road at 300 Bhp.
I have done many tests on a straight piece of road with half a tank of fuel with a passenger with a stopwatch and come to the conclusion after many tests like i said, That it can do:
0-60: 5.3- 5.5
50-70: 2.4-2.7
0-100: 12.5 -12.7

It has turned into a monster since the Remap.

I did consider an Audi Quattro as a replacement for the AWD Subaru.

I asked the Subaru owners: Subaru or Audi 4wheel drive system better?
Surprisingly Audi got more votes (just) - bear in mind this is the Subaru forum!

I want a remap too - now!

How much?
Increased insurance?
Increased tyre replacement? Lol

Oh

The Audi 3.2 salesman left me a voicemail.
There is an interested buyer now - please ring if still interested!

Does anyone know if all s-line came with rear parking sensors as standard?
Am surprised this 2008 3.2 quattro s-line had none! :-(

Remap was £480
Don't know about the tyres as i have only changed them once. They lasted 19000 miles which have been driven hard and its quattro so i think that is decent.
Hahaha that made me laugh ! There is an interested buyer in other words "Give me a ring because i want to sell you this car and there is no other buyer"

It does look like an S-Line ?
Im not sure if they are standard or not on the S-Line but as that is the earliest registration B8 A4 it might of been different then and they weren't standard.
Do you have the registration i will check for you.

A remap would not be worth it though on the 3.2, it would hardly make a difference.
