I am using a 64GB SDXC without any difficulty being encountered.

Pretty sure I read somewhere up to 2TB (which is the SDXC limit)

Yes upto 2TB SDXC are supported.

However, the largest currently available is a 256GB SDXC.

Yeah & the price is as large or infact double as the GB :p

I have downloaded songs from youtube on VLC Mp3 format. Will they play in the SD card slot?

spiriosdimos - 25 GBP is a reasonable price for 32 GB SDHC

However for 40 GBP you can get a 64 GB SDXC

128 GB is starting to get expensive in terms of GBP/GB and 256 GB is very expensive.

For your info the audi manual says the limit is 64GB, i am currently using a 32GB card and it is fine.
This is the limit for Audi, not SD cards in general, its how there audio system has been programmed to handle the file size.

the exact one i am using is this one: Samsung 32GB Essential SD Memory Card with Frustration Free Packaging: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
its a class 10 and comes with a 5 year warranty.
the cheapo one from "komputer bay" i had just broke, cheap plastic. you get what you pay for.

Yup, when I get one it'll be that Samsung one, but possibly the 64GB version

Got that card in my SLR, great, but cost me slightly less via ebay iirc.

How big are the files on there in total? Will it work over 64GB?

So far there's only a few albums. I need to find the time to load it up completely. I'll let you know how I get on.

If the drive recognises the card size, then I cant imagine it will have any issues with being full up with tunes.

Assume you can play video files off SD cards via the the Technology Pack

As has already been stated in the thread, the limit is 2TB, (SDXC) although nobody actually produces one this big...yet.

Yep, I'm only letting cemerson know our 128GB card works fine

That's the limit of SDXC, but there was a post earlier in here that said the manual stated a 64gb limit, hence the question.

No problems with the latest fastest SDXC UHS U3 cards either with tech pack high.

Using a 128GB Transcend card bought from Amazon £56.

As Rob2k68 above, I have tech pack high and am using a 128GB SDXC UHS U3 card. Also bought from Amazon but made by SanDisk instead.

Amazon product

The 128GB SD card has rendered my 160GB iPod classic obsolete !!!!!

Faster operation and much better album/artist search options using the touch pad that you don't get from the ipod.

Yeah I agree. I use Spotify via Bluetooth quite often but have much better quality versions of my regular music on the card, was amazed at how smooth the jukebox album art display was ! The read/write speed on these cards is great!
