Remap concerns

Hi everyone..

Im new to this forum.. I'm just after some advice from the Pros.
I have a Audi A3 1.9 tdi 8p sportback..
I recently got a custom remap done at AMD essex, I''m loving the map!!!!
My worry is that they have taken the car from 105 bhp up to 156.9 bhp!!! I have no other mods done to the car..
Is this suitable, will my clutch be able to handle this power???

It will put more stress on your clutch and flywheel depends on how you drive also

Depends on how its been mapped

some tuners go for low down torque spike; others go for a more progressive approach

it also depends on your driving style too

AMD's approach is usually less of an aggressive map,i.e. more geared towards a progressive delivery,and assuming your clutch is performing normally now,it should continue to do so.

Do bear in mind that the extra torque can shorten clutch life,and I would always budget on a new clutch at some stage with a remapped car.

Thanks to everyone for your prompt replies, I do have a graph and will put it up asap... my torque has increased from 250Nm to 343Nm!!! I'd say my driving is quiet subtle, I may drive like a nut every now and then but generally i look for mpg...
Driving round London i'm getting about 445 miles on a full tank £75..

Yea everyone thinks they are a gentle driver until (like me) they realise they get 2/3 the mpg of everyone with the same engine.
