Hi folks,

I have to get my bonnet resprayed to to a couple of bolders during winter badly damaging it.

the only problem is ive got my car booked into AMDetails for the middle of August and the earlies the bodyshop can respray my bonnet is 6th August.

Will the paint and laqure been fine by this time to have a full correction done on it?

Cheers,

Euan

I cant see the issue, just tell detailer & they may move it to end of august if they feel the need or they may just say, as long as its had a week to harden fully, should be ok, its all about communicating with your detailer, which is the key.

the date the bonnets booked in for is the 6th, and the full correction detail is booked for the 19th.

Just ring the detailer & ask, 2 weeks should be plenty of time.

Been told aslong as it is painted and then put in an oven and baked it should be good to work in from then after.

If its left to air dry then he recommends a month before he would be happy to work on the paint.
