Hi,

Fellow experts and Audi owners.... can you possibly enlighten me as to the best place to make a replacement purchase?
I am having sealing issues with my Audi A3 2.0L TDi (2006 Reg).

The seal is compromised on the pipe that runs out of the turbo precisely at the adjoining point/area to the next pipe it connects to along the network. I have been adviced to get both of these by my mechanic who is fitting it.

Please advice.... and thank you in advance!

I'm assuming this is intake side of the turbo and ur after the hard pipe that runs alongside the engine? Theres a joining piece from the outlet of the intake side of the turbo with a silicone hose on it that connects to the hard pipe, are these the two parts ur after?

Also, if the seal is compromised on the pipe that runs out of the turbo, then surely that is the only one u need? unless there is clear visible damage to that hard pipe i'd be surprised if this needs to be replaced too.

Also, its not that hard to do urself, once the air intake system is removed theres bags of space to get to everything u'd need to. I replaced some o-ring's recently, i took the whole thing apart and put back together in around 90 minutes. This was the first time i'd ever taken it apart too, so if i did it again it'd probably take less time

Just go to audi & buy the parts if you want peace of mind in those areas.

Never buy used boost hoses unless they are silicone or metal so go TPS or audi and buy brand new but expect to pay big money as they are expensive no matter how small or big

agree buy cheap buy twice as they say.... just fork out the extra bucks and get some new hoses without any regrets. nip it in the bud mate
