Stacey's Belated Yo Yo Build Thread

Vibratechnic road mounts and both powerflex dog bone bushes (yellow main one)

Hopefully should be enough to keep it fairly sturdy as theres not much clearance from inlet mani to the bonnet.....will soon know if its moving to much when a little bonnet bulge starts to form lol

Would love to think so but will have to wait and see....

The more i look at them pipes the more i cant believe its going to fit in that space stricken engine bay, think it should flow very nicely and hopefully spool reasonably quickly :)

Lol at the rest of you guys :lmfao:

I wish you the best of luck with it

I just wish i could of take more out of the exhaust ports on your head, I measured mine when i finished it and they were over 5mm bigger than yours but you do have the benefit of the massive down pipe as i will find it hard to get a 3 inch down pipe down the back of the bulk head with my manifold set up

i still have the 150bhp NOS kit i still plan to fit... 750 bhp:eyebrows:

I was asked not to

I did them to the same size as the TSR manifold. I opened them as much as i could.

The CTS manifold ports are just massive, even bigger with mine now.

Yeah iirc the id of the tsr runners were 38 or 40mm and do remember that it seemed like a sensible option to not go bigger than the mani id

NOS will be mental on top of your spec....thats one thing I'm never "allowed" to do as she caught me enquiring on a kit a while back lol

Stupid thing is I can happily aim for another 150bhp with a bigger turbo but shes completely against the gas.....think its the fast and furious impression that everyone gets of it lol

Yeah, ideally you want a smaller diameter head port size than manifold runner size to prevent reversion from memory. Not sure how much that applies to a charged engine but reading up on N/A, it certainly applies there.

It'll give you a manifold failure and then your passenger floor pan will fall out! We've all seen the film!

...don't forget you will need a 37 speed gearbox too...

checked the sound on the mk2 and it was 92db(A) at 4500-5000rpm so very track friendly

Sounds brilliant Bill and should be perfect noise wise so wont be to boomy when on long family journeys....although may muffle the noise of the little one in the back lol

Just a few pics of the exhaust progress stolen off of Bills Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Badger5Ltd

Big thanks to Bill and Tony as they have been staying on into the night to get on with it

DP going past the prop doughnut

Its all coming together nicely and should flow very well as its all about the flow ;)

On a side note contracts were exchanged on friday and get the keys to the house on wednesday :yahoo:

I like the look of that. Interested to hear what it sounds like.
You are going to have to do an extended sound clip video

Wow, level of sped tail on that is fantastic!! Out of interest, how much would a system like that cost for an a3? Just not as many silencers :p

This is what happens when you don't work for awhile LOL

I might have popped into Badger 5 this afternoon to say hello, and I have to say, this was looking absolutely fantastic. I think you're going to be VERY happy with the system when it's finished stacey, then of course there's the mapping still to come :)

Edit: Forgot to say have got a new bumper and insert to fit as old ones got a bit hot at some point but its on the massive list of jobs to do

4" indeed FTW. Dont like the oval on S3`s. Too much like EVERY Seat exhaust too.

4" is all a bit XR3I for me , where as oval says RS6 to me ;)
would love to see this in the flesh once its done fella , pop down to south Woodham with it please :)
baz

Well im glad majority has said oval as thats what I went with after bill threw a spanner in the works and suggested the 4" as that was my second choice with a rolled tip of some form

Only concern is oval may be a bit big but will have to wait and see as im sure will look lovely :)
