I'm looking at fitting some BMW BBS rims to my S3
I think I've worked this right but I'm cr@p with this ET thing

Wheels are BBS RC041 17" 7.5J ET41
Looking at using 30mm PCD adapters

Does this sound right?
currently have standard Ronal Avus 17" 7.5J ET35
With 15mm front 20mm rear spacers

17x9s with 25mm front (to clear brakes) 20mm rear. Final offsets: ET15 front, ET20 rear. Pretty much on the edge with 245/40/17s, the front wings need to be pulled at some stage but it's 5mm or so poke.

Guy what do you suggest for spacers, I have Audi TT fat fives 17" rims and defo needs spacers imo

I am unsure between 10 front 15 rear, or 15 front 20 rear.

Im running RSTT 18 x 8J 225/40/18 tyres and have 12mm spacers up front and 20mm spacers at the rear. Hub-centric of course!

Damn those RSTT look good on a S3, where they an option extra? I am running RS4 reps and want to get rid of them.

Assuming the TT comps are the same Offset as a stock TT wheel (ET32) I think you'd prefer 15/20 spacers. Best way to check is to get your tape measure out and measure the gap from the tyre wall to the edge of the top of the arch then buy a spacer to match. I've just ordered 15/20 for my TT wheels.

Thanks mate, I believe they were an optional extra however im sure someone will confirm or put me straight shortly if im wrong. As with any wheels there are the genuine sets and reps. I have been toying with the idea of changing them tbh. I removed them at the weekend are sanded them back and reprayed them as there was some light curbing, paint & laqer peel. Looking smarter now. Here is a picture of them below before the refub to give you an idea of what they look like. Do you have an image of your wheels?

The RSTTs were indeed an option on the S3. You also got 10mm lower suspension springs to make up for the extra inch on the wheels.

Wow....thanks for that Westy. I have NEVER known that in my 5 years of S3 ownership.

Originally I had a facelift Black S3 with factory RSTTs on and wondered why it looked the tiniest bit lower on the black one compared to my Noggy blue one when I had 18s on them both and both the factory suspension and same tyres etc.

Oh and I'm running H&R spacer/adapters 20mm front and back to make my BBS wheels fit on mine :)

what tyres were fitted to them?

Pretty sure I had 225/40/18 on my RSTTs but couldn't tell you the factory OEM make/model of the tyres if that's what you're after?

In fact I have no idea what rubber Audi would have used some 14 years ago now.

I'm not sure what tyre profile came with the 18" option. The springs could be spotted via a different coloured dot on them. I think the standard spring had a purple dot and the 10mm lower spring yellow, or vice versa.

I have my standard springs back at home in my AP coilovers box, so I may check out the dots on the springs when I get back :)

TD pro race 1.2 are really nice, I have missed out on 3 sets so far. Money ranges from 300 - 400 on eBay.

Very nice... And showing of your callipers :p

Just got to add though- I hate it when you get lovely shiny new parts....only for them to be hidden behind stuff e.g wheels or under a bonnet! Lol
