Prawn and BigAls A3 Track Car

Agree with Jardo on the bumper drilling. Sack off that parachute effect! You said you'd considered it before

it's an option, but only really a half ***** excuse for not enclosing the rear end in all together.

A better solution would be to flat floor it and add a rear difuser sealing the rear bumper off so no air got in there. That'll be the more likely route I'll take.

Nothing like a huge super bad boy diffuser sticking out 12'', but something will come in time. Just need to give it some serious thought as to exhaust positioning and stuff.

Get rid of the wheel well and raise the exhaust in the middle making a center exit and diffuser underneath lol.

haha, who needs Trolls to de-rail your thread when your mates and your Dad will do it for you

Went out for a drive last night - car is still epic.

That is all :racer:

A few pics taken by Nick Horne at a little meet in Basingstoke last week:

And I just noticed this one looks like the quarter has been caved in, but it's just a reflection!

Southam. Yeah I recognise it now, the car park opposite Pizza Express.

Nice to see you are keeping the meets local, I guess the 4 miles to the Golden Lesbian was a bit too far. As long as you keep it within a two mile radius of everyone's house there is a good chance nobody will break down.

Haha.

Looks good.

Damn reflections! I thought my rear bumper had caved in in tesco car park the other week. Rage mode was just about to kick in until I realised it was a reflection.

I think the track car does more miles a year than your A3, and probably breaks down less often  it's used loads man, that's what it's for :)

That's better though than thinking ''oh look that reflection looks like damage'' then finding that your bumper IS caved in!

Loving the warm weather, went for a ride on the bike today, came back and watched race 2 of BTCC, then went for an hours drive, car is feeling great and I'm using full boost more and more regularly now the sun shines, it's very manageable really, if you just mash it it'll spin in 3rd still coming out of the bends, but with a bit of finesse it absolutely ****** flies!

Wwashed the car, gave it wipe over with Demon Shine to get the water marks off it, then watched race 3 of BTCC and now F1!

Top weekend :)

I washed mine too. Is demon shine te daddy at eliminating water streaks on dark cars?

demon shine and buff off with a micro fibre gets decent results ....... But better I find is use decent shampoo like autoglym and then flood method to rinse ( take end off hose pipe and literally start at the top and wash down with no nozzle so the water runs down your car and takes any droplets with it, turn tap down to half pressure so no spray back) then dry with a water attracting mitt or micro fibre.

Sean

**** that for a laugh, I washed mine and couldn't be bothered to dry it. So I mixed up some Demon Shine with a small amount of water, spritzed it one panel at a time and buffed it with a microfiber until it was dry. Looks fresh to death.

I have probably got £300/400 worth of cleaning **** in my shed, from Zymol to Swiss and hand on heart DS is the best quick detailer I have used. Twice a week, quick spray only at the jet wash and dry off with DS and boom. It beads really well after a couple of coats too. Use it on glass like rainx, on plastics to clean off over polish, on wheels to clean brake dust, on metal like exhaust and bright work.

Boom basically, not to say I disagree with anyone. We can all have our opinion, I just hope mine will help you try this rad-*** product in inventive ways.

your all GAY (cleaning cars WTF) in todays awesome weather, i took the most powerful stock Ko4 out and destroyed a couple of so called super cars (and yes they were trying) pulled 105mph on a set track that a twin turbo'd 911 can only just touch 100 on, thats how i roll, none of this cleaning ****

And mr Jardo, since rons guts were rebuilt ive clocked up 3500 miles (2500 @303bhp) thats more than your yearly isnt it? :)

Were you driving Chris Woods LCR today then?

Hell no, i dont drive a working class badge, i drive upper class Audi badge :)

Jardo, you know, i know and the whole world knows the power Ron makes on a STOCK S3 exhaust is a figure never seen before, and you, me and the world knows with the boost leak fixed, replacement of the lazy N75 and a free flowing exhaust that A, Niki will be able to control boost better so wont have to map on the lower side to be safe, B it will have the boost it thinks it has and C will flow better due to less back pressure/restrictions, and lets face it, im that sure Niki will get ron past 310bhp easy i am willing to put my V5 on it, Niki doesnt do bull ****, the first thing he said when it made 303 was sort these 3 and i will give you a safe 320 bhp, so all haters wait and see the figures, Ron is in waiting for the crown, and its not that far away :)

Go clog up your own threads with talk of crappy non hybrid ko4's and fake 4wd lads

3" relentless downpipe an decat Willy, into a twin 'box' 3" cat back system.

I say 'box' loosely as they're just small straight through resonators, no baffles or anything like that in the flow

That's a good spec, 3 inch makes a difference at these power levels. I used run a 3inch turbo back back, only 1 back box and latter changed to a blueflame 3 inch DP 100 cell cat and a 70mm cat back with a decent back box and hefty centy section silencer. The difference between the two was very noticeable in terms of spool and peak power. I don't miss the slight drone though. I feel the need to revisit a 3 inch system.

Went for a little drive last night, car was flying as usual :)
