Traveling home I had some fun with a ferrari 360 challenge then got home parked the beauty up in my garage, came back a hour later to get it out and wash it to be treated by ESP fault check owners manual and also the mag ride light lit up pull it forward and there a pool of oil. So has the mag ride shock failed? I rang Audi roadside assistance as I have a year warranty added when I bought the car they are on there way. It's only just turning 3 years old and has done 8000 miles 2k I have done in 3 months. Is this a common fault with mag ride? And will it be under warranty as just had the brakes sorted and also insurance is up in 5 days, hope it is under warranty or this will be a expensive month :(

Well there she is I went with her to Audi got there as they where shutting up, so she is parked up behind some huge metal gates with the other audis and waiting till Monday to find out what's wrong with her feel lost :(

Apart from in the wrong section :p

I cant believe the TTRS is 3 years old already, unreal how quick time is passing.

Is the corner lower than other as its not a well known issue with mag ride tbh, sounds like abs system, what was directly above the puddle?

im the adopted TTRS in this section since the TT section is a bit quiet

I didn't notice the height but the puddle was from the right side it could be the abs but its just recently had the brake recall so shouldn't be and also why would the mag ride light be on aswell?

All the systems integrate with eachother, so it maybe warning this system isn't running optimal & if its had recent brake work, then I would be leaning towards this area, as its rather coincidental.

Out of interest, do you rate the mag ride as being a useful feature? I had this (or similar) in the previous VW Scirocco and used "comfort" mode regularly over a section of speed-bumped road that I have to cross every day - otherwise used "sport" mode all the time. It made a noticeable difference across this bit of road at least.

Yeah true they are looking AT&T first thing Monday morning so hope to get some answers then.

i do like the mag ride it does make it noticeably more firm and less body roll through the corners that with the ESP set in sport mode for some slip and its great fun but if you don't want that all the time then you can turn it off. But with the RS the mag ride is integrated with the exhaust valve open option and the throttle response option (makes it more responsive) so I would like it to be on another button, I would like all 3 on separate buttons because I'd have the exhaust one on all the time and then the other two when I'm pressing on but that's my choice.

My previous car was a TTS, which comes with mag ride as standard. I loved it. It made the car extremely planted when in Sport mode and really quite comfortable for cruising when in Comfort mode. I would have to have it (or similar) on any car which offered the option, going forwards.

Having said that, the traditional suspension on the RS3 is pretty damn good.
