Highest BHP Daily Driver?

Here's my two pennies worth.....

Rs4 worst build quality...... No way! Better than s3 by miles in my experience ...... 5k into an s3 by most people's margins that isn't a lot I've read tufftys build thread and if he wAsnt able to do lot of work himself I estimate he would be at double that! I personally spent 6k on just mods on a civic 94 vti lol!

People bragging on forums..... Leave em to it, it's there lies and lives i personally can't afford to put fuel in mine this week because of wet weather affecting building trade!

well this thread has wandered off abit.

imo, welly is the only person i've known of that has a big turbo built daily driver.
he uses it for what it is for, everyday, he abuses it, in a respectfully kinky way, and probably will continue to get more and more power from it, and use it everyday still. and for that, i solute you :salute: he wins.

Bragging? Hardly. I'm merely asking questions regarding cars which we all have interest in.
And let's be honest, £5k is absolutely nothing compared to what some people have spent on their pride and joy on here. And I'd rather modify something which is sub £10k since you're not messing about with expensive exotica which could cost serious pennies to fix!

I've had forum members over at my house before, so they can confirm that I'm not some dilousional keyboard hero!

Thanks for the entertainment chaps and thank you for those who have actually replied with topical material (including the cans)!

:arco:Haha... You know how I roll! That's quadruple glazing on that bayboy too... HIGHROLLER!

Two days before I have 'the' chat with Brian from Jabba... Need to sell some more of these lodges if I want 400bhp! The GTX3071r looks like the snail I'll be fitting. Now to scrimp and buy non-rifle drilled rods or pay the extra for rifle drilled?!...................

Gtx3071 is the same as I went for as should hopefully produce some nice umpth and should be spinning nice and soon? Well that's the hopefully plan ;)

Before my s3, I had a 75bhp fiesta BEAST! Span up in 2nd n everything!

Well my actual daily is a 2011 transit van high roof 85ps !!! Slacks off up hill and everytin...... That's a beast for ya

480hp daily driven running 1.8bar boost

Clutch makes it a nightmare in traffic but i do mainly motorway driving so i dont mind

466 here,

The reason I swapped from and s3 to an rs is the residual values, I'd already thrown a lot at the s3 only for the turboS to fail, so, I could throw another 6k at it but only have an s3 to sell for maybe 6-7k if the right buyer came along, or, I could sell the s3 and use the 6k to buy something that would hold its value better.

Plus the rs has
the amazing engine and sound track
its a rare car only c. 400 bought to this country
the interior has a high tech option for grippy seats not slidy roundy everywhere full leather
the gearbox, the rs is geared to go fast
it's quicker/as quick as Maserati gran sports and newer jag xkr respectively, proper exotica, just with the dog in the back and only from a map and an exhaust, with out 3 " dps too.
Have I mentioned the noise?
Theyre not exactly weighty either my sticker says 1680 kg
I'm hoping to be looking at 480 with 3 inch dp's and a map (with flat shift om nom nom)

However
tyres are expensive
there's two of most things that need changing
fuel is something I never seem to have enough of
the car is 10 years old and tired in places so you just have to except that things will need doing and that's going to cost

Swings and roundabouts

I still think my fiesta is the Don! Had ferodo pads n shiz!

Running 650bhp & 750nm. Its a daily driver and used for business purposes as well.

I'm running a 53 plate caddy with a diesel tuning box so not enough power to pull my skin back!!!! But enough to upset small nippy cars!!!! B4 u all take the **** it's not mine it's my brothers work van that's got more mods than most of our cars!!! My k04 is coming off for a little hybrid session so needed something to get about in. Asked for his golf rallye or his beefa track car but got told to fuk off!!! Lol charming aye!!!! As for all u big powers s3 owners......I hate u all!!! Lol at mrs b! My mrs is scared of driving my standard s3 ! Before that she was scared of my 320d 163bhp.......

My DD is a Virgin Pendolino, it's 6,840 bhp....I don't have a RR print for that though

My daily swaps between my 300ish S3 and my Mk2 golf toy, Audi dyno'd at 311bhp and golf 184whp but the golf has gas but no dyno runs done with that yet... Strangely though... i whenever i can stealth off in the family bus ( tdi bora ) for comfort and ease

My dd is the planet earth moving at 67000mph through the galaxy. Havent got a dyno print for it tho.

My current daily drive is a 2002 S3 8l, tuned by MTM to give a claimed 325bhp, also have Mov'it 4pots on the front.
I've read up that the con-rods should be replaced at roughly 345bhp, after that its almost plain sailing to 500bhp with the exception of a one piece valve upgrade (not sure which BHP the standard ones are rated to).

Not sure how helpful this is as you may be talking about an 8P?

I'd get yours on a dyno mate as I've never seen an MTM make its claimed power. Also con rods have been known to bend on stage 1 maps. Search on here and you'll find loads of info about it.

Oh and you'd need a fair bit of work to get to 500bhp...

Me and goubo have both destroyed engines on the normal mtm kits and maps so its not quite like youd like to think

The mtm turbo is not really capable of anything than 350 (according to the compressor map) unless your running nos or some special fuel, I had pretty much every supporting mod you could think of and had a reliable 335 out of the kit (although 355 was acheived when pushed with meth) and this was on a well respected dyno ;)

Sorry to **** on the fire but I believe youve been missinformed

I thought this thread was meant to be who has the highest BHP daily driver i'e Audi A3/S3 ( being a A3/S3 forum ) not someones saying my mates got the biggest balls and he drives a 1000 bhp XR7.

You're just pissy because yours has 0bhp.

did you ever have it on the dyno with the standard mtm down pipe ?

Stacey's made good power once most of the MTM rubbish was replaced lol

im taking his custom intake pipe and rest of his kit as reckon my k26 has had it when engine **** it's self and will also give me a spare mani too incase I stick with the k26,so with intake and 3"down pipe I'm hoping for a reliable 330 after I get a custom map
