well after the wife talking me into selling my old A4 avant and buying a passat that lasted nearly a week.. ( long story )
ive just bought my self another A4 avant TDi.. this time shes a bit more my style being the 110 rather than the 90 and she has some added trinkets that the previous owner fitted..
1/2 leather quattro sport interior
center arm rest
leather sport 3 spoke steering wheel
coil overs
wind deflectors
facelift headlights and front bumper
remapped

cheers bud. yea I picked her up today and im over the moon with it it drives and pulls great. plus it is a lot cleaner than my old one which was also a P plate all the credit goes to the previous owner who is a member on here.. not sure of his user name as I bought it through Scottish vag

Yeah had mine since about November last year, its been a cracking motor for bombing around in even with over 200k on the clock! Its great on fuel and does me and my wife and 3 kids, well glued together

Iam just about to treat it to a good servicing this weekend if the weather holds out, been meaning to do it for yonks lol, but never get round to it, I got everything I need, filters, fluids etc and gonna do the EGR delete and clean the fanimold out as I think its well sooted up, plus the Mr Muscle trick on the Turbo, I only meant to get the car as a temp to tide me over Christmas but have been so happy with it Ive held onto it, I normally get a cheap Diesel motor just for over the festive period to zoom all over the country visiting family etc then normally scrap them or sell on in the new year, normally old smoker French motors like Xantias or Lagunas but went for this A4 and its superb I cant part with it its never missed a beat, everything works as it should, ice cold A/con all the switches etc, I really am chuffed with it.

this one has turned 246k and pulls like a train its been remapped egr is blanked off manifold has been cleaned out and a recent turbo.

my old 110 passat left me as it turned 255k and went on to run for 2 years as an airport taxi and the boy says it was knocking on 400k when it left him and never missed a beat..

Yeah certainly a bright motor mate

Iam hoping mine will pull a bit better over 3k when Ive done the business, it pulls off the mark like a rocket, but struggles over 3k like its restricted, smokes and hesitates, but if driven normally is great but it does need a decoke lol

I would check all your boost pipes and vac pipes my old 90 wasnt pulling well after 3k and I found a split in one of the boost pipes.
have you had it read for any fault codes?

I would also highly recommend getting an EGR blanking plates. I noticed a major difference on my old 110 passat when I done it.

Cheers, yeah that was the intention (EGR blank) and I will check all the boost hoses, vac lines etc, I had a nightmare with boost pipes on my Volvo T5, they were notorious for leaks and when replaced WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

No I havent checked for fault codes as yet as I left my scanner round my dads in freakin Essex, so just waiting for him to get back from his hols and he can post it back up to me

unplug the maf and take it for a spin and see if this improves if so get a new maf.

yea this is my second TDi Avant the last one was a 90 bhp which I never kept long as the wife talked me into a 110 passat.. what a mistake that was as it was a pig in a poke.
so she now has a 110 Sharan 7 seater that she loves so ive told her this ones mine and its staying... but after she got a shot of it she has said her self its a keeper

well there's a short term wheel change been done today.. I put my 16" audi sport wheels on untill I get tyres for the 17" wheels.
I prefer these over the other wheels plus there not on winter tyres.
