Mke sure it is a recirculating valve or your car wont run properly! Even the split r ones are not good... That one there is the 008 from forge and is really good with adjustable internals to suit different boost pressures

cheers mate now a know where a wanna put it on now ha shame its dark and yeah its an atmospheric recirculating one is yours the 190 aswell? coz a lot of ppl reckon all the 1.8t engines are the same which I disagree as ive seen this dump valve on top or near top of engine on other ones

Yer 190 differ in many ways from other 1.8t! I have 190 too great car mines moddwd though wna go further with it now though big big turbo

Me n me mate just tried fitting the split r dump valve it's dumping but as soon as we let off the revs it's cutting out and when we start it up its running lumpy

The split r is a pita to set up I've been there with my old Leon Cupra r. Try it on full recirculating. Have you got a boost gauge so you can see if its set up right ?

Some info would be nice as we are on trying to sort this out now and a don't really wanna knack me car if we keep tweaking this dump valve to try and make it work it comes with 2 adapter type things that are different sizes is the right one important and enough to be making it run lumpy if we have wrong one on???

Put it on full recirculating there ap pain them split r's better off with 007p or 008! Our cars just dont seem to like them... If you want the whooopp doooshnh sound fit an open cone filter with heat sheild

Dont let it dump to atmosphere at all

weve tried going to the limits on Turing both ways still cutting out and running lumpy do you think them 2 adapter /valve thingys it came with are important?? Coz the one on my original DV is a different size connector to the type we are trying

a haven't mate surely there must be a way for it to work :s

Yer have you tryed fitting other way, you need to fit the blank to the valve so no air dumps

then a might as well put the factory one back on lol I want the dump which it has been doing just its cutting out and not running properly so do you think this split r DV is no good

It will never run properly with a split r

Cheers guess al put the placker scrapper one back on the split r one is being a right hassle and waste of money so do the forge 008s make the tsssh noise

Therw should be three ports on the valve two which need to be connectd up to original and then one which is used as the dump! This one meeds to be covered witht the blanking plate because these engines are not made to dump the air out, they work best with the air rcirculating bk around system! The purpose of a uprated dv is not to get a dump sound but to hold higher levels of boost pressure. Like i said if you wont the dump you need to install and open cone filter and it ill give you the noise you are after like mine

and you have the forge diverter valve I see what you mean about all that coz it is the noise I'm after and now av gathered this stupid split r one is no good even though I was told it was by the shop selling it on eBay

Shops talk **** just to sell you product... You need an open cone air filter if you want whooopp doooshhh not a dump valve these cars are different
