:think:I bought this gearknob a while back as it was a nice upgrade while I waited to get one from a S3(which I have know done just waiting for it to arrive in the post)
So I will be selling this one soon but would like to know if anyone know with spec A3 it is from or weather a some point in the past
it was an oem op extra.

You my be right but is it an older S3 spec as this one doesn't have the S3 badge on it or the thicker silver top which the badge sits in like this
one which is what I have now bought.

Looks like S3 to me too. How much you looking at for the old one?

not as such, "Audi exclusive" was/is the name of that line of parts , these gear knobs were 10 a penny 3-4 years ago but I struggled to find any when googling them tonight, tuning-fanatics used to sell them but even they don't stock them any more :( it is just an s3 gear knob without the s3 badge which suited me to a tee :D here is one i found for an A1:
