Last week I bought a 2006 A3 2.0T S Line Special edition in black. Love the car but I want the black aggressive look so I have, last night, used the FlyEyes on my headlamps. Very easy to fit and the change is very subtle.

The sister company to the one I work for manufacture Audi Grilles and I have kindly asked them for a matt black sample to which they said they would send me one over (free of course :p)

So my next mod will be to fit this grill. I am also thinking about plasti dipping my alloys then getting the back windscreen and also rear side windows tinted then I think I am finished with my modding.

Anyway, please leave you thoughts on my headlamp mod and if anyone else has any ideas for other mods feel free to leave your ideas below

Looks good mate, very subtle but I like it.

Does it effect the light output of your headlights?

Not driven at night yet pal. According to the website it shouldnt affect it as there are tiny holes like a net effect on the film to allow the light through.

Lucky on the grill! Nice. But I have to say I hate black alloys on black cars, looks awful imo.

Did you go for the black flyeyes film or one of the grey shades ?

This what they look like close up? Photo is Wilonso's on here as he has them on his A3.

Hmmmmmmm, might have to get a set for my car, pretty cheap mod. Any opinions on what colour I should go for, I have an Akoya Silver S-Line 2006.

I'm thinking perhaps a light grey, anyone got these on an Akoya Silver car?

I'd get the black1 colour its slightly lighter than what I have on so will be a nice subtle change on yours

please can someone tell me which bulbs I need to buy to have the brilliant white light not the bog standard yellow/orange colour?

Those in the link, you get 2 driving/dipped bulbs and 2 side light bulbs. 4 bulbs for £7.45 isn't bad.

Not sure about bulbs for the foglights, I hardly use them, only when it's properly foggy, so I've just got the standard bulbs in.

cheers

just searched for a bulb list and I got this

AUDI A3 (2006 - 2009) Car Headlight Bulbs | PowerBulbs

So I need 2 pairs of H7 (dipped beam & main beam) Side lights W5W (which will come with what you specified) and for the fog lights I need H11 bulbs

Im a design engineer and I work in a plastics company and I want/design to make a cradle for my iPhone 5 to sit in my ashtray. I have the double din stereo with the cassette deck in the fascia, the 6 cd loader is contained within the head unit, what, if anything do I need to connect up to the head unit for my iPhone to play through the stereo?

I seem to recall that any added item to headlights that may affect the light output are now outlawed via mot, I suggest you check as I was going to test some tints I got cheap, until I read or was made aware of some updated rules of which would of failed my car with fitted.

Looks great , I would spray your alloys a gun metal gray and blackout your grill but keep the audi badge standard and tint all around it would look the part. What size did you order for the flyeyes . I'm looking to order some for my a3 .

Gonna do my alloys dark grey yeah and going to get 50% tint on front side windows and 90% for the rear ones. Also got a free grille coming over from our sister company that is Matt black so ill be banging that on then its a remap for me off my mate

Would these be what I'd need for my 2006 2.0TDI, are they just a straight swap for the standard bulbs that are fitted, so no error messages.

Yes and Yes, you won't get an error messages with these.

Just got my full set of bulbs 2 pairs of H7 (full beam & dipped beam) little side light bulbs and some fog lights all off eBay. Are there any guides to changing all these bulbs?

Can't advise on the fog lights as I've not changed them on mine, however for the other bulbs, especially the little side lights, find someone with smallest hands you can. They just pull out but they're very fiddly, it takes a bit of patience and quite a bit of swearing

cheers, my hands arent the smallest but I will give it a go and if I cant then I will ask the Mrs to help me. Wish me luck

just managed to change my 2 sets of H7's with ease. I am struggling to get out the small side light bulbs (little blue ones) any ideas on how to get those bad boys out?

Does anyone know if you can use flyeyes or a similar tint on Xenon headlights?
