Shows like inters don't bother me asmuch as one day shows people are there more to get battered with mates and have a good time than go round checking over people's cars and making judgements.

I hate to say chez, but I've never received the dole. I have my own house, and I have a part time job to fund my studies. The rest is a government grant...cos I'm clever and they wanted to pay me to be cleverer. ;) (did I say that out loud?)

Morning all!

Back from sunny Cyprus. Beautiful weather, rubbish tan, eaten alive by Mosquitos, ate far too much yummy Greek food (but it was so tasty!) and now have a suitcase full of dirty laundry to deal with. Not back to work til Weds as it's my birthday tomorrow so booked the day off!

Wanna see F&F6, but mostly because Paul Walker is a bit tasty. Sorry, but its true!

You guys all ready for Inters? I'm back on the S3 hunt now - can concentrate on it properly now my holiday is over!

Any of you going to Brands in a couple of weeks for the Yank fest?
 
I'm on the oil cooler job. Almost got the core fitted in behind the 4 rings of the bumper. Next job is to drop the oil and fit te thermostat sandwich plate and run the hose. Want it done before 1pm which is when the sun hits our back garden in full effect ;)

Haha! I've got ridiculous tan lines - the only time I seemed to get any tan was walking around, so I've got an assortment of straplines from various tops! Gonna be a nightmare to get rid of them! (My legs are also pretty much the same colour as when I went - I think they must be so white that they just reflect the sun?!?)

The weather turned to crap at the moment.
Windy, cloudy and cold.
I'm back sitting on my sofa with nothing to do.

I've ran out of solder and ran out of things to solder, which is not really a bad thing, be worse if I had things to solder but ran out of solder.

Daft question, how you putting oil in the cooler?
Just filling normally and hope it fills when it gets up to temp?
 
Just got out in the sun. It's all together but there's a slight leak at the sandwich plate. I'm letting it all cool down then I'll have another go at it.

I did fill the cooler first so there was no pressure drop when the thermostat opens.

jack diddley squat on the telly, and the whatsapp chat has gone of the boil too! :(
can't really decide on what takeaway to order in! so that is the highlight of my evening! decisions decisions eh?
de-fogged my front fogs today after a scuba incident with a flooded road and now hunky dorey!
been up a ladder deep cleaning the upvc windows and now have the whitest window frames and sparkliest windows in the street!
looks like the weather is about to turn aswell! so that's sods law for you! lol
what is everybody else upto?

I was going to finish off my key conversion but since I lost the main part of the key, the key it self, there is not point in carry on it.
But for the record, with some modding and sanding, I made my Standard 3 button keyfob fit in the new style of key. WooHoo
 
So much pain, from the weekend.

Chez you licky ***, I don't get flowers when its my bday, and you can't say its because she has boobs, because I have them too ! :D

Morning guys! Thanks for the birthday wishes & the flowers! So, 33... Blimey.

Going for ice cream at lunchtime even though its peeing down here (Trying to make my holiday last a bit longer, plus I'm a big kid!) and out for Chinese tonight with my parents and some of my closest friends :)

Back to work tomorrow though...

Its hard to close but it does close.


Uses the original Battery.


Due to the different locations of the battery connections, I had to run a cable for one.


A lot of hacking and trimming of the old board to get the buttons to line up. This caused me one track to be cut and bypass cable added. One of the switches was relocated to match up with the push pads.




The switches are upside down. so lock is unlock and lock is unlock. which is a pain but its the only way I could get the board in and buttons lined up without remaking it.
You can see the difference in sizes.



Happy now? :)
