Picked my new wheels up today and it finally stopped raining so I got them on. The transformation is amazing in my opinion. Let me know what you think. View attachment 16143

It's really changed the stance and the sportiness of the look.

Looking good, what did you pay for them mate?

The wheels were £395. Would of loved OEM but at £1000-£1500 it's just too much at the moment. I must say the service from Ian at select rims on line was terrific.

I know what you mean, I've been looking for some OEM ones but can't afford it at the moment. Might just get some reps, they still look the business

Looking good. Our next door neighbour has just put a set on his TT (some scumbag stole the originals and left the car on bricks), transformation is amazing

Great stuff. While we are at it, and I don't meant to hijack the thread, is there any difference between getting OEMs or reps? I suppose both are made out of same metal and OEMs have part numbers? :uhm:

I know on the VW's some of the reps have been a lot heavier than OEM's, which doesn't help with handling apparently. Whether you'd actually feel any difference in the handling is debatable though.

I wonder if there softer or damage more easily?? I'll be driving careful anyway which is difficult in pot hole Britain. I'm convinced I'd win an election if I promised to mend all the potholes lol.

Black Edition alloys done, you now need the Black Edition grille! :) PM me if interested.

Haha! It won't be for much longer mate. Harder to come by now as Audi make more of the 8V parts.

I'm sure at 395 for a set u can aim for potholes lol. Bargain price I think, compared with 500 a wheel :)
I would have put these on if mine hadn't came with them :)

I personally think they one of the best around for a3. Glad mine came with oems! But not bad price to pay for reps.

Personally, I prefer the Anthracite Black Edition alloys they put on them before the Rotors. Not really a fan of 2 tone alloys

I used to prefer them was goin to buy some before I bought my a3 but after I got it its converted me. Only prob with rotors is if you are unlucky to curb them it's a little more for refurb! Touch wood mine are all still like New!
