I'd go with this Sham, at least you'd know if your car is healthy or not with Nick at RTec. Emaps sounds like a guy who just turns up and flashes a generic map on your car, takes your money then buggers off to the next job, RTec are proven, and not as expensive as you think for a custom map.
I think shoddy generic remaps are the worst possible thing you can do to your car..... I know of 3 of my friends that have bought remapped vag 1.8t cars they have had no end of problems with have taken them to a vag specialist to diagnose and have all had the same outcome " bad remap mate has knackered your motor" or similar responses !
Stick to the quality guys, badger 5 , revo, r tech , shark performance ect..... These know what they are doing and will look after your car.
book a day holiday off , give your gaffer 28 days notice and tell him its a hospital appointment for personal reasons , then he can't refuse . I can't stress enough that you shouldn't get a rubbish/ shoddy/ poor generic remap for your car stick with the pros and you'll have a great performing motor that's sustainable and shouldn't give you a head ache of problems.
Yes they are, speak to Ben wardle at shark performance I know him personally he's a good lad and knows what he is doing. Just ten mins from jct 29 of the m1 in Mansfield is headquarters and there are a few franchises. I would go to the headquarters though.
im one of those who is suffering from a shoddy generic remap at the moment (bought the car with it on) as soon as i come back off holiday and get the car properly gone over with vagcom i'll be getting a reputable map. save yourself the money and time.
