Chilled glove box

But, not the coolbox and new light etc...
The coolbox just slides into the glovebox - if anyone needs a "How To" for that then they should be ashamed of themselves.

The new light - well there's only 1 place in front of the cool box where there's space for it, and looking at it tells you that it needs a rectangular hole, so you just cut a hole slightly too small (drill 4 holes in the corners and use a Dremel-style tool to cut the centre out) and then file it to a size where the light will fit but still grip. Then connect the original wires.

Well I ordered the parts to do the Glovebox chiller/cooler today from my local Audi main stealer.
Ordered,
Air Hose - Pt. No. 8E2816311 - £6.08
Outlet - Pt. No. 8E08207014PK - £16.26
Light - Pt. No. 8E0947415 - £7.36
Cool Box - Pt. No. 8E2862807A6PS - £76.87
These prices are discounted 10%, and will need VAT applied to them.
The cool box itself is on back order, and will need to come from Germany (7-10 days delivery).
Thanks to PetrolDave regarding the tip on the relocation of the Glove Box light.
Though exactly where in the Glove Box it is relocated too I,m not to sure yet, will have to wait till I have fitted the cool box to see exactly.

Checked at Tps today and that's the same price I can get the parts with discount aswel. So not bad mate
Off topic I also got 12 382 bulbs for the grand total of £2.45 all in wtf. Would of cost a fortune from halfrauds.

Note that the comment about there being 9 screws only applies to US market cars, on UK cars there are fewer (6 IIRC).

Thanks, thats good to know, it will save me looking for bolts that are,nt there, if the weather holds I will be doing this tomorrow, after I have gone to pick up my new RS4 alloy pedals, :) and order my rear footwell light brackets and lights.

Fitted mine today, and as Dave has said, there are only 6 bolts holding the glove box assembly in, three across the top, remove the CD changer and there is one there as well, and then two on the bottom edge.
Drop the box down and unplug the glove box loom 12 pin plug and remove assembly from car.
Find the knock out in the glove box for the A/C pipe, and cut away the insulation from the other side of it, it is already scored so relatively easy, cut out the knock out for the new pipe, fit the outer box, at this point you are meant to fit three small self tappers in the top edge of the outer box, but without removing the glove box door from the assembly, you cant get in there to drill, or use a screwdriver, so I decided not fit them as the outer box was a good fit anyway and once the inner box was in place with the vent in the back it would be held in securely.
The outer cooler box just slid in though I did have to remove pin holding the glove box to the damper assembly to open it wide enough to get the inner and outer box in.
The light fitting I neednt of bought, as it was exactly the same as my original light so I just relocated it and again as Dave said it can only go in one area and 5 minutes with a Dremel and it was fitted.
The vent pipe was straight forward, just pull out the rubber bung and slot it in and twist.
Refit the box after plugging the loom back in, the new pipe lined up exactly, I loosely fitted a couple of screws on the top edge, and screwed the vent on tight in the back of the glove box, refitted all the bolts and CD Changer.
Overall very easy to do and works a treat. Very pleased with the overall result, one more mod off of the list! :)

Well that's me in trouble, just won a glovebox on eBay for £92 posted. On thing is it doesn't have the door or light. I assume I can just swap the door over from mine?

Damn it, now I'm not sure if its for left hand drive. And didn't state what side it's for. Listing says outside uk even though I search for uk only.

Well looks as if I purchased the wrong one. Now trying to contact seller to see if I can cancel. Doh
