Exciting times ahead.....

Looks awesome man :) I bet you're very excited.

I'd argue that you didn't need the boost controller though. Hope you didn't spend a lot on it.
Ye I can't wait Nick.... I was told by Pat it would be better with one as he was running the same.... It cost me £100.... Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to get home for potentially another week because we have found some very big defects on an integral part of the drilling package of our favourite fuel provider and we have to stay on board because there are no more rope access inspectors onboard..... Everytime it looks like I am going to get it back something happens.....lol

I think I've made it perfectly clear how I felt about Pats fortunes with this engine

If it were being mapped properly, it absolutely would not need a boost controller.

I honestly don't mean to keep coming across as negative on this build made, I'm stoked for you, I just don't totally agree with a few bits and think you could do better for less money.

All input is good input as far as I am concerned Nick.... I just want to get it back and then take things from there.... If I can get it to about 400bhp I will be happy....

Good attitude man :) as long as you're happy that's the main thing :)

what map will be going on it ultimately? A proper one rather than revo st3?

Yes I will be taking it down to see one of the Likely Lads once I get the manifold on and get a few other bits and bobs done.... Need some new engine mounts and would like a few other things sorted as well not engine related....

How f@@kin sweet does this look now....

Nick I never had you down as a hater tut tut :beee:

Revo st1 and 2 are fantastic maps for getting the most from a relatively generic setup, I'd agree with that for sure. The ease and convinience makes them a great option for those not intent on extracting the last few % from their setup.

ST3 though, just builds on that, and it's a generic code written around 1 turbo, MAF, and injector size, that people expect to work with all different manner of turbo's, hardware changes, all sorts. I'm sure it'll run fine, but it won't be a patch on a proper custom map, which at this level of hardware, is basically essential, or you may as well not even bother starting the project :)

The Revo tuners I dealt with tweaked mine but it wasn't at Stage 3,I guess some just take the money

They can tweak it through the sps switch, which allows you to adjust boost and timing between preset parameters, but still very far removed from an actual custom map.

Today's the day for Sausage!

just waiting for my lift then a 2 hour drive.... Whoop whoop....

boost controller needed as generic revo3 will not be tuned for your hardware... How can it let face it, its generic!

The Revo is just a stepping stone until I get the few other bits and bobs done...It come with the deal so stupid not to take it for the time being until i get my other bits in place, then i will get it custom mapped when I know it's at it's full potential.....All bad Revo input aside I'm still having a lot of fun in it.... It just pulls like a train all the way to 150....

Glad you're enjoying it! How does it compare to your old st2 setup?

Just ordered Devils Own WMI Kit.... Another thing to sit in the corner of my mates garage.... To much to do but not enough time to do it in with the work cycle I'm on now... Got fogged on the rig for 6days so only have 1 week at home... Also agreed to cover someone's holiday week which will mean I will be home for 1 in 5 which will take me up until October.... Ah well Rome wasn't built in a day...I'm sure it will be all worth it in the end...

Little update.... S3,s been getting neglected lately so decided to get a few bits done.... Dont like the way my intercooler looks.... AH Fabs but apparently this was the best fit.... Bumper needed spraying along with a few other little scabs above each door blade... Can't really complain for a T Reg car... Also got intercooler painted and the pipework...http://i1177.photobucket.com/albums/x350/cecilthesausege/8D513256-EA7C-4570-81BE-D7D2AC463D5B.jpg
