I usually use poorboy's wheel sealant on my alloys, will it be ok to use this stuff on Matt or Satin black finish on a set of rims?

Hey, used this product today on my alloys - TTRS ones which are like a satin greyish colour... first coat went on and when i removed it you could see the direction i had applied it. Gave it another 3 coats and it came out fine!

Never used this before on any alloys so nothing to compare it against but i was happy with end result, and would say its fine for all matte/satin alloys.

Cool, exactly what I wanted to hear! Thanks.

I've just had my wheels done in satin and the guy in the refurb shop advised me only to wash the wheels and not use polishes on them. Reason being is when the lacquer is sprayed onto the wheel they use an additive to give the wheels a Matt/ satin finish, if you use polish based products this will break down the lacquer and eventually turn your wheels shiney!!

I've not had direct experience with this and only commenting on the advice I was given by the pros... Hope it helps

Can understand that with a "Polish" but PB Wheel Sealant is more of a Wax/Sealant than a polish. But you might be right,

I could well be wrong on this, appreciate the wheel sealer is less abrasive than polish, would be keen to find the outcome, I may call the chap who did my wheels and see what he says.

Hmmm, may have to try a patch on the insides just incase then, I won't be rubbing the stuff in, just a light coat, let it dry, then buff off!

Yeh, that would be good Chris. And JoJo if you only apply a single coat of PB i am almost certain you will not be impressed with the finish. Like i say, mine took 3coats to start looking anywhere near decent.

Polish is usually abrasive whereas sealant isn't. I would hope you would be fine with a sealant.

My Wife is Polish and she can be quite abrasive lol.
