Bearing or drive shaft?

Bit of help please guys (and girls)
After driving fairly hard tonight (Drag racing a marked police car from the lights) I have a rumble sound when doing low speeds. This sound changes slightly as I turn.
I have had a quick grope under the car. (Have a better look tomorrow) had a feel of the movement on the drive shafts.
There is no noticeable rotation or slop in the CV joints. There is some in and out movement on them (both sides) is this normal (I'm guessing so to allow for adjustment in length as suspension moves)

Any other checks I can do or should I be looking more to bearing failure?

Had a look this morning.

The ferking wheel is loose?

Now had the wheels swapped over on Saturday. I was there when they did it and I watched them secure the wheel using a windy gun up until it hit its torque setting.
Any idea why it would work loose?

How much do you trust the garage? Possibility the torque setting wasn't correct?

Re-tighten them all up and take it for a drive and see if it's cured the issue. How loose was it as well? Finger tight?

geeez, lucky it didn't fall of this time. Check the threads on the bolts and holes

I had this on my citroen a few years ago - driving to work (London) and could hear a wobbling noise, realised the ****** wheel was loose and about to fall off! It was my own fault though, couldn't believe it. From then on I did the wheels up fecking tight!

Threads are all fine. No damage done. That I can see.

It was very loose. Less than finger tight. Including the locking bolt.

All tightened up by hand now and driven to work an back. No more noise 👍😀

That's all good then...a tad worrying though as I hope that gun was re-checked for other customers as that could cause a serious accident.

This thread sums up why you should always check your wheels bolts after 20 or so miles after taking the wheels off.
