Evening all,

Got my hands on the S3 yesterday was a 12 hour round trip but worth it.

Better Spec than I thought,

Front and rear parking sensors,
Rnse mmi/ami,
Front tinted windows to add to the rear privacy glass,
Pan roof,
Half cream and black leather,
Cruise control

And the usual S3 Black edition bits

All the above options plus a 2k saving on the audi oxford franchise price for the one they refused to sell me so I am a very happy bunny :)

Sorry only took a couple of crap pics at the services yesterday, will giver her a full clean and get some proper pics up at the weekend.

Dealer also refurbed all the wheels, 4 new michelin pilot sport 3 i think they're called and some fuel was an excellent service.

Absolutely love it :)

Hope you like!

nice car wonderful spec mate but I never knew they did those rims on the S3

I think those wheels were only on the first BEs, before Rotors came out a few months later.

Looks Lush bro ...cant wait to get mines

I'm extremely happy for you, almost destiny, be nice to gloat to Oxford tbh, but I'm guessing you're using verbal communication method of complaint for this lol.

PS. Marty haven't forgotten you :)

nice one mate, cant wait to get mine hopefully in sept! hows the bose in these?

Great looking car, you must be chuffed the shenanigans with that other dealer are a thing of the past! Well done. :applaus:

Glad you got there in the end mate and enjoy it. The treatment you received was truly shocking.

Be careful with the front tints - they are technically illegal and the factory glass already had a slight tint. IIRC the VLT (visible light transmission) should be 70%.

I had the same problem on my last car. After a smashed window I got Pentagon dark smoke supaglass applied about 18 months before the law was changed and was damned if I was going to remove it. I always kept the sun blind opened and never once got a pull for the fronts.

I had that seat/door interior in my TT but not too sure about it in the S3, how you liking it?

And another pan sun roof, jammy git . I really wish mine had it, but as it was built and in the port when I bought....... oh well. Enjoy your car.

Cracking looking car, enjoy it. I do like those wheels, same as I have on my S-Line.

I always thought those wheels made it look less s3-ish. Theres a lot of black editions on those wheels already. But in a lot of ways that could be good for u, draws less attention to the car. Either way, its a beaut! Glad oxford audi turned it around for u

You're right it doesn't look like an S3, but neither do rotar arms imo

Definitely echo the above, glad it finally all worked out for you!

Thank you, they are the original black edition wheels for the S3 before the rotors!

Not sure when black editions first started but its a 10 plate so think its choice of either 2.

Thank you, you will be very happy with the car :)

Thank you, it is tempting to pop over and say hello lol. Glad they refused to do business with me now got a much better car, deal and service :)

Thanks mate, hope you get one sorted! I think the bose is great lots of bad reviews but I've always preferred the quality over aftermarket systems. Just put a system in my Caddy and the Bose is my favorite which says a lot considering i spent 1k on the caddy install.

Thank you, i am very chuffed with the end result, almost grateful of their poor service in a weird way :)

Nice spec congrats. Audi refused to sell you a car? o_O

Thank you, yeah Audi franchise in oxford long story lol!

Glad you got there in the end mate and enjoy it. The treatment you received was truly shocking.

Thank you, i think you're right i checked the spec and the code is VW1 - front window tint green, b pillar privacy glass so i take it that refers to standard 30% green windows so any tint is illegal?!

I asked the seller and they said it was on the legal limit but i was unaware they are on the limit standard so going to have to get them tested and possibly removed :(

Thank you, i really like the seat/door color. I personally prefer over the usual black nappa but i can see how it might be a bit marmite for some!

Thank you, i really like them as well and wouldn't buy an S3 without, i do like the rotors but these aren't as popular which i like.

Was the same when i had my astra vxr, everyone had diamond cut but i preferred snowflakes lol

Glad its all worked out for you mate..:icon_thumright:

Thank you bud :)

Thank you, Audi Oxford didn't turn it around they closed the door in my face so to speak. I hunted for 4 weeks and ended up with this along with getting declined credit in between, offered silly APR's then finally got a better deal then i was offered on the Oxford one.

Theirs is still for sale :)

I personally like the less s3 - ish wheels, you soon know its an s3 ;)

You're right it doesn't look like an S3, but neither do rotar arms imo

To be fair from the side it looks like an A3 black edition unless you can see the S3 sticker on calipers and bigger brakes! but from front, behind or looking inside you can tell it's not standard a3 :)

Definitely echo the above, glad it finally all worked out for you!

Thank you bud :)

Thanks again everyone for the kind words :)

Just realized it's got phone prep and folding mirrors as well!

I am missing the Ipod the Ami cable though, any recommendations for a good quality one not for £50+ from audi?!

Full valet tomorrow, will upload some proper pics ;)

Wow, the car looks fabulous, hope your enjoying driving it. Im sure you have a permanent grin, look forward to more pics. Enjoy. :) x

Cheers pal that would be very kind of you, whereabouts are you located?

Had a cleaning session today which is always a good and a bad thing with a new car as you uncover all the nooks and crannies.

There is a very small crease on drivers door between handle and bump strip, feels completely flat but when you look from certain angles it looks like a crease a bit weird as no damage to the paint so cant be a car door opening on it :/

very small bubbling of the paint on the roof behind the pan roof looks like slight corrosion from under the paint.

Nearside rear passenger door is a bit of an odd one on a small part of the lower half and a slight part of the upper half the paint is not a good finish at all it almost looks like a paintbrush has applied the paint but an exact color match to the phantom black with clear coat :/

Doesn't look as though there has been a repair looks like more of a factory error but who knows could be either.

So going to have to get all the above addressed at some point, it's times like this that i hate being meticulous!

Nevertheless still a beauty and a joy :)

Couple of snaps from earlier

Sorry not the best with a camera !

Thank you, done :)

Couple from earlier,

Car looks good, it's always nice to do the first full detail.

On a side note, you might want to clean your camera lens, seems to be smudged in all the photos.
