What have you done today?

If it's the same wheels that I think then I reckon they'll suit. Just need to plastidip the full car now to suit the wheels. ;)

Fitted some RS4 alloys.
need center caps.

You'd have hoped the previous owner wasn't so silly and lost them!

Wheels are looking good dude. :)

Well ive been farting around for the past 4 hours as i took the front end off to check damage from my bump and thought id throw my replacement manifold on whilst i was at it gets the turbo loose and come to remove the threaded bar which comes with the manifold and it went snap flush with the turbine housing tried drilling it out with no success so set along removing the turbo sent the car up to take the down pipe off and my bad luck took a turn for the worse the ****ing ramp jacked in !!! So my cars broke and stranded in the air on a two post and im now driving around in a bright yellow DS3 till monday then will have to see what happens from there on !!

Always the case that a fairly easy job turns into a never ending nightmare!

RS4's look good, not sure whether to refurb my bolero's, go OEM (rs4, fat fives etc) or I have really been thinking about LM's.

Gotta get it lowered 1st!

LM's are the way forward but are very common S4 B6's are very tempting !!

Yea they are quite common, but it's because they look so damn good!

my mate sold a set of b6 S4 alloys a week before I picked the car up, was gutted.

I need to sort out my exhaust and suspension before wheels as I said. Trying to see if I can source the relentless cat back in the uk, it's proving hard though!

Well today i finally got the manifold off after hacking away at it with a cutting disc which wouldnt go through the full branch of the manifold so had to get some carbide bits on it to get at a few of the top nuts, turbo dropped off at local engineers this morning which is ready for pick up tomorrow that set me back £40 but rather have it done properly at a machine shop so i didnt butcher it, and also managed to book the day off on friday to get it all built up and running again oh and the ramp now works which should help things a little lol

Technically not done today still waiting for mr postman to bring a few bits by Sunday I'll be fitting forge map sensor tube, all new red silicone hoses for fmic because the old blue ones are more faded blue/black now. Fitting new red boost gauge piping and maybe decat if it turns up in time

Today I converted a set of clocks to white needles, some white dials and white/blueish displays.
I also built a rig that will let me power clocks and radios on the best and scan them with VCDS.

Next project?

Yes Scott! I'd love my dials white! And my dis fixed ;) today I did sweet f all! Went to tesco, switched my phone and broadband to BT and stared at my car from my window for about 2 hours lol

Thought about doing my control arms, but took the engine out of my breaker instead, wish I'd done the control arms!!

Yesterday: Well I swapped my passenger door skin, sanded down primered and carbon wrapped the boot trim above the number plate, changed the fmic hoses to freshen up the front. Today I've killed my car at the BHP show at lydden hill circuit :( runs like a bag of s**t won't rev over 3k, the only time I managed to get it boosting the whole engine cut out.

Sat in the car park last night waiting for the wife to finish work watching The Big Bang Theory on the RNS-d.

WooHoo

also you can just about see the red led interior lights glowing through the rear screen :)

It's amazing how quick the milltek get covered in crap. Only had mine on a month and its black :(

Got prepared to do oil pickup clean and oil pump due to red light of death and turned out to be just the sensor, result :)

In the last week I've removed the dodgy rear lip spoiler I fitted as I'd lost the love for it, washed the car, fitted my Hid's from the group buy which are a massive improvement and had the cambelt changed. Busy week for the audi :)

ive ditched my hid's as i was sick of bulbs blowing and cold weather knocking the ballasts out, so back to standard bulbs as i just used 2 grommets to seal the access caps, thinking of getting some ring ultima xenon 120% and maybe try the CREE 501 side light bulbs.

Ive used Philips extreme vision's in all my cars and have always been pleased with the improvement. I must admit, I was suprised by how poor dipped beam is in mine - I don't remember it being as bad as this. It's like a pair of candles!

Theres good reason why a genuine lamp is £60+ and a genuine ballast is £300+

As a drop in conversion, the best you can do is use proper d2s lamps with adaptor rings, and get some used genuine Valeo ballasts from ebay.

Theres a post here showing the conversion using proper parts:

http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a4-a4-...trofitting-valeo-hid-xenons-h7-headlight.html

Still wont be as good as a proper HID projector, but it'll be better than chinese tat!

That may be best route to go didnt no you could buy adapters to convert to d2s bulbs.

I got my HID kit from Amazon for £70 and they have been faultless since going in about 2 years ago (25k miles). Had some silly temps, wind, snow etc to contend with and my car is very stiff so they get rattled about a bit.

Today's job is looking at a nice pair of Cobra Monaco seats as my old sport seats are just starting to show signs of wear :(

Hahaha! We'll see, it will probably come to that eventually, but not in any real hurry yet. The priority is to get the front end swapped on to mine and get it painted.

I'm after interior parts if its got slate grey door cards and any faulty electronics you don't want.
