Opinions on this please? I need to get a car sorted before Monday!

I've been looking for a nice A4 TDi and after a few weeks of seeing absolute shockers I've found this one quite local to me. I'm going to be doing around 30K a yeah so should I worry that it's already so high?

Price seem OK for the year, spec and condition etc?

Any help would be great

If you're doing so much mileage in it its much better to get a high miler, as that way you wont lose more money on it.

Thats very true, but also think about if its soo high already (if its not been looked after) it could be on the way out? its a risk worth taking for the loss you'd make over 2 years on a 50,000 mile car? 'If its for you, it wont go by you'!

It doesnt always work that way though - you could buy the low miler and have it fail on you within months...... or you could buy a high miler and find yourself having a years trouble free motoring.

Personally, I always stay clear of cars with ridiculously low miles on them - I find that more off putting than one with slightly higher than average in honesty.

That said..... I also tend to steer clear of stupidly high ones too.

Whatever you do, I guess you takes your chances in that respect.

The thing I'd advise against here would be the 'I NEED to get one in the next 4 days' bit. It took me months of looking to the the car I felt was right for me. When you give yourself such a short deadline, you're massively increasing your chances of settling for something you otherwise wouldnt......

Just bought it!

It was company owned and driven by an old boy so it's in great condition. Full Audi history with a printout of everything done over the years. Test drove it for about 5 miles and it drove better then my old 2009 Mondeo company car. If I blanked out the miles you would never know it was on 160K

A few things I need to do..

Fit cruise control
Figure out if I can add the computer stalk for the MPG etc
And reset the service indicator as it's not been done.

How many miles it has done is less important that how it has been treated. So, go back to basics and check the following:

How comprehensive (and documented) is the car's service history?
Is it in good overall cosmetic condition?
Does it look to have been cherished or abused?
Does everything work?

That's just for starters but it gives you an idea of what you need to be focussing on instead of worrying too much on how many miles it has covered.
