ASN's Pub

Just picked the old dear up from the airport, cost me £17 because her flight was delayed! **** bandits.

I'm off on my hols tomorrow. Have a great couple of weeks everyone :jump:

cheers nicki! i am sure i will have a great time at work in miserable grey england! :notme:

evening all!
i have got my alan tit marsh head on!
doing my garden up and decided to remove all the old grass and clay and replace with new gravel, top soil and grass!
seen the price of said items and shat myself, so decide to flag stone it all instead as the dog will only destroy a nice lawn and concrete does not need cutting!
great plan chez, seen the price of the stuff for this and shat myself again!
that is 2 shattings in one night!
why does garden related stuff cost so much?
is it made by audi or something?, even used flag stones off fleebay costs a fortune!
i give up!

My little square of mud cost me over £200 to sort out.
I hate to see my dad's bill for his, his garden is bigger than out house but our house is tiny..........I think chez is bigger than our house. :ninja:

Chez, why not look for farms and see what they got going.

i think ebay or gumtree is the way forward for this scott!
i do not have a large garden, but for what i need i may need to borrow the works HGV for collection!

still undecided on grass or urban concrete scott!
i do like grass, but i would want a putting green flat lush lawn! and to be honest it's a lot of work for the dog just to shat on and burn with his wee!
i do not want to treat it like a posh carpet! it is grass ***! lol
the concrete approach has many plus's as once it's down that's it! but your correct a nice lush green lawn is nice!
hmmmm.
shall i run a poll lol? :beerchug:

i want some new alloys ...

pick me some you raging hom's !

seed the garden chez, with grass seed, not chez seed.

It doesn't take too long to grow and will look good! Plus seed is cheap.

if i was going to do a lawn i would use seed (still undecided), seen people buy turf for an instant lawn, and it looks good for a month or 2, then it starts to look rough and all sorts of crazy weeds start to come through!
you know what you are getting, doing it from seed! a blank canvas as such! but will take a few years to get properly established!
so would not really be able to walk on it this year at all! :(

Chez, patio a small section and train the dog to poo/pee on that section only.
Then grass the rest of it.

You could turf it this year for a quick fix for the summer and then seed it as well for next year.

Think of the little kid as well mate. Patio is no place for a kid to play. :)

it is half patio anyway, the other larger bit was grass and very poor soil that would retain water like a sponge even during very dry weather. it would always be patchy and i was fed up of it so decided to remove it all and start again.
the plan was to put a god few inches of gravel down for drainage, then top soil, then seed it!
now i have totally removed all of the nasty clay, i just thought maybe it all paved would be better/easier to maintain!
the dog rarely does his business in the garden anyway unless in an emergency! but there will be the odd time when he does! but that is no drama!
it looks like i may just seed it anyway, and once i get the gravel down it should drain off nice!

Yeah, we seeded ours towards late summer I believe. But since we did half we just made sure the little one didn't go over that half for the rest of the summer. I agree though that you get a nicer job with seed if done right.

your all crap at giving your favorite northern pub goer any love with the alloy wheel choice!

"yeah yeah chez your northern but your not as cool as you used to be"

so does any one know if 235 40 18 on 9x18 alloys will fit under the arch on my a3 on the rear?

You're turning to jardo.
You have specific sections for Car related talk. :ninja:

i think you'll be fine but put some 225/40/18 and get a bit of a stretch going on. :)

What size are you running on the fronts?

Never refer me to jardo I thought we were friends.

When I get my new rims ill have 225 40 18 on the front they will be 8 inch wide and the rears will be 9 staggered fitment. I don't want stretch because I'm not a tail end.

Good job with you having a poverty spec motor, you can get away with different rolling area on the front and back.
If it was a proper quattro or poor man's version, it would cause issues.
