reversing beep and parking sensors

The beep when I put the car in reverse is so annoying! Is there anyway to turn this off? Or disconnect something?
Also my parking sensors don't always work! Any thoughts?

you can alter the volume and tone in the DIS menu, although i don't know whether the lowest volume setting is actually muted or so low it doesn't matter

I've always wondered about the volume, but my car doesn't have the options in the dis

can be done in VCDS if not on the DIS... older cars did not have this function on the DIS

It's a self-check on the sensor circuit, so if you could't hear it you wouldn't know they weren't working!

Ahhh I see! Ill have a look chaos! Will it be in the manual? And I think they've only ever worked once! Not sure why they don't work all the time! :/
