I was never a fan of puerto rico. Found it a bit too pikey. I like Playa Blanca in Lanzarote, lovely place.

Not what it seems Chez, 3 of us own it and it is managed completely by the estate agents out there, got to book a good year in advance to get a week!! and for obvious reasons we are all banned peak times...lol

The Apartment is in Carmen, i go to Blanca, and yes its very nice there, until they ruin it like carmen..

i am thinking about getting rid and getting something shiny and new!
ok, it will never be mine, but i can get a new motor of my choice/spec/colour every 3 years!

Nice to have a new car every 3 years but can you live with the fact its not yours? im in the same dillema Chez im after a T5 and they are stupid money for high milage, then a friend suggests leasing... 2k down £220 a month for a brand spanker to your spec,,,,,mmmmm
Trouble is i would want to slam it straight away...REMAP....new alloys ...and the rest...

that's my thinking too!, a lad from work just sent his 11 plate A5 convertible back for a spanking new ford kuga!
not my choice but he got a cracking deal!
i would either go for an A3 or scirocco! fully loaded with nice paint!

And the of having £220 coming out each month scares me.

My family got a place in Italy just out side of Rome and place in south of Spain.
It is good,good a flight and off you go. Each house has a car as well, so it's just flights and taxi to get there.
Never been to Italy though. We should do though. Spain is Nice.

Morning all

2 days til my holiday – woohoo! Suntan lotion purchased, books packed, iPod charged, sunglasses repaired, passport located and off to get my holiday money at lunchtime!

We’re going to Paphos in Cyprus. Absolutely love it there. Apartments we’re staying in overlook the coast and it’s a beautiful view. Plus, it’s walking distance from lots of restaurants, a supermarket & the harbour.

Been to Gran Canaria a few times and was really disappointed last time - stayed in Maspalomas in self catering apartments and struggled to find places to eat locally as it appears that the majority of the accommodation is now all inclusive so a lot of restaurants have closed. Used to be really busy & thriving 10 - 15 years ago and it’s just sad to see it now.

Went to Turkey last year for a friend’s wedding & as much as I enjoyed it there, I wouldn’t want to go back. It’s much more relaxed in Cyprus and the locals are much friendlier. If you want a holiday with lots of excursions then Turkey is ideal, but if you just want to do your own thing and relax, then Cyprus is a much better choice. Plus, we experienced a 6.0 earthquake while we were in Turkey (followed by a number of aftershocks over the next few days) which wasn’t great!
