Formula one 2013

I felt for Rosberg, I think he would have passed Hamilton if he'd had a reliable car today - he seems able to look after his tyres much better, as well as go almost as fast when the setup's good.

Webber, what can you say ..another round of team failures screwed his weekend and left Vettel unscathed AGAIN! it never rains but it pours on him too often for it to be coincidental imo, and I'm sure it'll keep happening until it's too late for him to challenge Vettel for the Championship ...The Red Bull team IS Sebastiard. I can't see the other drivers allowing him to win the Championship again this season - maybe we saw signs of that this weekend with Fernando & Lewis appearing to kiss and make up & there'll be some shenanigans this season to stop him.

Checo Perez - McLaren's new boy is a huge disappointment thus far! So far he seems unable to mentally step up to the big boys league - he needs to man up, get in the car and wring it's ****** neck ***.

Quote of the Day:
Team Radio: it's okay Fernando.. you don't have to Push!
Alonso: But.. I'm not pushing??? :search:

I read somewhere that this is his last year with Red Bull & that he has been offered a drive with Porsche at Least Mans next year.....

So hopefully things will improve.

If Ferrari didn't have a bad luck, they would have no luck at all.

Should be a good race. I think Webber may just win this one for me, lol. :) x

No one commented because no one could keep track of what was going on with so many frikin pitstops! Great race from Fernando, and hats off to him, but the race in itself was boring... who could preserve their tyres better is not 'Racing' in my opinion.

I agree with JoJo..
Nico did an awesome job keeping Seb and Alonso behind for 13laps
Then you can seen how much the tyres came in to play when he dropped for1th to 4[SUP]th[/SUP] in half a lap, just after his pit stop?

Pirelli to sort it out before Brit GP……

Just give them the tyres so they can race one another!!

For anyone to say, “you see more overtaking now” YES.. you see more overtaking, but its not racing!

Was good to see Alonso take the win in front of his home crowd, the fans was amazing! :icon_thumright:

Great race and well chuffed for Alonso...but to echo everyone else on this god forsaken planet - the tyre company is ruining it. dare I say it, I'm getting bored of F1 again. Too many things beyond the driver dictate the outcome - corporate b***sh** ruining another industry through greed.

I watch F1 for the first time in a long time and fell asleep on the sofa. Best racing worth watching at the moment is World Super sport (600CC) and World Super stock (1000cc). If anyone watch the action from Monza edge of the seat job

^^this^^

I didn't even bother watching the whole race and went to the Garden Centre after 20 laps or so ...that would never have happened if they were flat out racing. :(

Alonso did really well to please his fans. totally amazing stuff... Love Raikonnen now too he just doesn't care, he knows consistency will pay off even if he doesn't win the Championship

This isn't a race, it's a procession with only a couple of drivers being allowed to try to pass.

Yeap. Boring. Boring. Boring.

this thread's gone quiet recently.

looks like Merc have sorted their tyre deg issues ...did the 1000k "Private" test at Barcelona help?

The race is not bad so far. I would like some rain though. :) x

Did Pirelli change the tyres in the end? Looks like Red Bull will be the one to catch for the remaining of the season again.

The tyres did last well and off course Red Bull will be on top form, after all Mark Webber is my driver. (no smart comments now guys) i found todays race very good, comprared to Monaco it was buzzing. :) x

Shame about McLarens demise! I think Button is at risk of losing his seat within two years. The radio message informing Perez that "you're now racing Jenson" seems to imply not to let him pass, or "show him who's boss". I can't blame him for seeming disillusioned in the last few races over the lack of support they've given him! He deserves better IMO.

Yes maybe Vettel did run away with it, but it was good to see the tyres didn’tplay to big apart in it.

I enjoyed the race, some good overtaking.

looking forward to the British GP next, anyone going?

That is not the news i wanted to hear Joe. I just hope he can get nearer to the front. :) x

Di Resta seems to be getting the s**t end of the deal at Force India. He's proved he's the better driver since Sutil returned, and the team have screwed his chances at every opportunity - That's 3 races in a row now isn't it?

It's heartbreaking to watch.
