Any B5 A4's come with electric folding mirrors?

Don't think so. I've got a 99.5-vintage brochure pack for the A4, and there's no mention at all of leccie folding mirrors.

'fraid you'll just have to go on folding 'em yourself, Soupie.

I have just been to look at my A4/S4 Owners manual.

On Page 26 it has Electrically retractable mirrors.

It was only available in some export countries it was a tiny button next to the mirror adjuster.

Wish we had got them to.

I've got the full brochure pack for the early '99 model (pre-facelift,Sept '98) and the only reference is to electric and heated mirrors being standard exterior equipment on all A4's.....

as far as im aware it was only canadian ones which had em. i would love them too. on ebay a few months back there was some folding oem mirrors and all the stuff to work them

thats a direct quote from ETKA
so that is the price for a single Left hand side mirror, with no cap or glass,
would have thought you can use the old cap and glass tho

you need to keep your fingers crossed that it doesnt go through an ecu, wouldnt have thought it would, you then need the control switch, and to make your own loom

I've only managed to pic up the one unit and no I have not bothered to fit it yet.

I paid £40 for it on ebay and from what I can find out only Canada had these as an option, but I need to do more home work on the subject.

Dam, and I only came back from Canada yesterday, to be honest I forgot I had it.

i'm in the process of fitting these now.

you can get the innards without caps and mirrors from vag-parts for about 120 each, and you need the revised switch which includes the folding mirror position, and a new controller.

the mirrors also come in 1-piece alu versions for the rs4 which are 300 each..

you then have to run 2 or 3 wires from the mirrors (the extra folding motors) to the controller (which i think lives under the dash at the drivers side) and 1 wire from the extra switch position.
