Mapping... (might have mentioned this before)

Throttle is closing as load is being controlled... the ECU controls the throttle plate not your foot...

...and this log is quite frankly rubbish with no headings... what gear did you do it in as the resolution is not very good...

If you are referring to the '27.8' figure at 6240 then considering the next block is logging 5800 rpm and a load of 11.3 I would suggest this log shows very little relevant info as it appears from this that its showing where you have lifted off after the run...

What blocks are these? looks like 003 and 031 but can't work out the middle one... 115 I think?

Your timing advance is frankly awful... I suspect EGT's will be going insane running that retarded...

<tuffty/>

i have a log i did yesterday this has 1 turn more preload on actuator ...than previous log as i still hit famous overboost but i didnt in previous log????

There is only one part of the above thats actually close to being any use and thats between marker 1 and 2... only time you hit somewhere close to redline but looks like 2nd gear as its over in no time at all... last bit of the log from marker 4 shows over boosting...

I am really struggling to understand what you are doing at the moment as you are over boosting but adding more preload??? and still running this unknown 'custom' map?

..to name a couple...

Going over old ground dude...

<tuffty/>
log was done in 3rd gear tuffty, block 115 yes correct..
you say timing advance awfull in what way tuffty?, as for egt i did not log on this run but the other log i have posted up with 1 turn more preload on actuator ....shows 1st run in 3rd then 4th and i can see i hit egt protection in 5th dumping fuel?
can you see anyware in log that would throw an overboost? condition?

no im undoing actuator 1 turn at a time..... with the first log my most recent i didnt hit overboost!!!!

deffinatly 3rd gear tuffty 100percent gears are gone in no time?
good or bad thing as for preload it dosent have anyware near as much as it use too ie on my faulty boost gauge which reads in bar it says 0.3 but did on previous turbo read 0.4...
feel asif im robbing myself of tourqe i nave logged 356nm out of possible 435 according too vcds at 3500rpm not on full throttle?

The torque value in vcds doesn't equate to real life... if the map has not had the load maps properly adjusted then you will never achieve its potential as the ECU will always control the load based on the mapping... no amount of hardware tweaking will prevent the ECU reigning it in somehow if the mapping isn't adjusted to suit... ME7 ECU's nanny the f*ck out of stuff all the time unless the mapper knows what they are doing...

so is there much more power too be made worth 350/400 pounds??? What gains could I benifit from?
Fuel looks ok??

Logs only suggest 280ish bhp Darren, not very good for the spec really.

This still hasn't been mapped properly has it? There's really no point chasing faults and things until it's been looked at by someone who knows, and mapped accordingly.

not bad on an unknown map and ignore the turbo dynamics stage 2 I'm going too update sig its a standard k04????chinese with genuine hotside...bog standard setup 280 that's ok? you know a mapper who can get more power plz send me there number as I'd be intrested ?
the car was mapped ok when I bought it well ran ok no overboost with more preload than i currently have..
just unsure who /were it was mapped I bent a conrod as I was thrashing it too ****... With temp reading 60/70 degrees was a faulty temp sensor that bent my rod I'm sure !

Well... first hing is you seem to be chasing all sorts of issues that may be hardware or software related... the FIRST thing you need to consider at least is taking it to someone who KNOWS what they are doing with this type of car and see where it is... then you can make a decision on where to go from there...

All you are doing is chasing stuff that may or may not actually be an issue and due to the nature of the setup (not std) its near impossible to diagnose over a forum...

Logging only shows so much... its not definitive... its a means to an end but without actually seeing the car there is no context...

Its ALWAYS worth paying for a map to be right... until someone with more experience and knowledge than you have has had a look at your car then you are going to be constantly chasing what you think are issues...

You now have a std K04 on a map that was designed for your hybrid?... and its a chinese one and you are experiencing over boost?

no I took a standard k04 turbo off the car replaced with a Chinese job and exsperinced over boost have since replaced hotside with a genuine hotside map remains the same as when I bought car which ran fine pulled strong no issues except thrashing the **** out of it all night with faulty temp sensor ie was reading 60 degrees and brake discs were glowing red steaming like a sauna!!!

i agree I need too at least take it for a dyno by some one who knows the engine/ecu inside out!! Ill give bill a call tmorrow for health check/dyno
