Hey guys,

My car's paintwork has a lot of chips and small scratches and I'm wondering what the cost of a full respray (of the same colour) is?

Colour of the car is dolphin grey.

I'm based in Leeds if anyone knows or has had any experience of anyone who can do a good job?

Thanks,

Nathan

If you are willing to travel about 50 minutes from Leeds, Impact Repair in Brighouse is highly regarded.

Thanks for that murg, any idea what sort of price I would be looking at?

Not sure dude, they are not the cheapest, but many Show cars have been sprayed there. I had some work done on my MK2 Golf a coulple of years ago, the finish was pretty good. Your best course of action would be to ring around for quotes.

Also recommend impact body shop in brighouse. They are quite expensive bit there service is top notch. Have a look on their website at some of the cars they have done. Look immense

I work by Impact, they are fantastic. They have a fleet if transporters, the paint jobs on those are superb

Can anyone give me a ballpark figure? Am i looking thousands or around a grand?

Well i'm not going to change the colour so I don't really need to do that?

yes you do as they cant mask out the rear qtr glasses as the seal which is part of the glass goes over part of the quarter panel plus these glasses sit very close to the roof lining and are a bit of a pain to get out, then depends how professional you want it,as to do it right it would need all mouldings, sill trims etc removed so what ever clips you would need there,i would say your looking at least £1000 if not a bit more depending on what paint etc is used ,then who is doing the stripping etc

Well got a quote from richard (at impact) and he said I'm looking at £1600 for almost a whole respray (as every panel needs work) and that includes converting the front grill to the black edition.

It's a lot of money and I need new wheels as well because mine are f**ked, so decisions, decisions.
